Another tip is that a Dorman 351556 wheel cylinder kit (cups and dust boots) fits pretty much every TRX350-650, 86 and up that uses drum brakes. Can be had for about $3.99 per wheel. Works perfect.

I run a built fcr39mx full race carb already. By built i mean it has an aftermarket bowl, accelerator pump, and quite a bit of custom add-ons i did myself. This carb is a flat slide and is what everyone runs on the full blown 460cc kits(440 stroker). She will have no lacking of air thats for sure! LoL. I hope with my +1mm valves, port and polish, and cam lift it will try to throw me off the back. I am already planning on gearing up. Where i have it geared now is way low. 13/38. Stock is 14/39. I will be going to a 14/38 right off the bat. With intentions of maybe going 15/38 if i need to.

A day out in my favourite county 'Cork'! Doing my favourite thing, and the weather was just right! Same again tomorrow on another farm for a relative, firewood and felling dangerous trees. Look at the really nice spalting on the ash! I planked two pieces to make coffee tables in the future, I'll post a pic of them another day.

Hello all, Bryan from the other forums here. You will need a PDF viewer. Windows 10 uses edge as default, otherwise install this. Double click on the manual you want. Top right hand of the screen click the download button. Manual will then be downloaded to your computer. I add any manuals I find, otherwise feel free to shoot me the manual and I can get it added. 🙂 Thanks everyone! CLICK HERE FOR THE SERVICE MANUALS

I use to have a thread that was about accidents on 4wheelers or anything for that matter : I have this incident that happened at a party by my house 3 weeks ago after the LSU game , that I wanted to share with you'll , as it is freaky how quick you can get hurt bad from something so out the box , 4 wheelers were ridden that day in extreme conditions but the accident never happened on a 4 wheeler , it happened while attempting to pee on side the shed so as to not track mud into the house , my buddy took a bad step off the 1 inch ledge of concrete and fell onto the grass and hit right on his stomach hard , he was feeling really bad afterwards and looked bad , one of my buddies has some first responder experience at the plants he works at , he checked him out and said he thought he should be taken to the ER quickly , so at the local hospital after a MRI and a Catscan they said he ruptured his bladder , they couldn't handle it there on Saturday night at 11:00 and hot shotted him to the Trauma Center in New Orleans , where they did a 1 + 1/2 hour emergency surgery , then 1 + 1/2 days in intensive care and then 8 more days in the hospital , then after 3 days of being home , he got severe pains again and went back to the hospital for 3 more days of test which didn't show any thing wrong , he is doing OK now and got out yesterday , but doubt he will be riding ATVs for a long while the doctor said being his bladder was full, the impact made it pop an cause a 6 inch tear , said if he would have fallen after relieving himself that might not have happen ---

My home state and there are some good riding trails out in the black hills in the area Mount Rushmore is. The rest of the state is pretty much private land or pay trail parks. I have some pics of riding out in that area but I still need to get them from the photobucket hostage situation. Point of the post was I had a few pics of the monument from before and during the making of it to share with you all. I'm guessing not many have visited but in the past I've came across a few that have. I just thought some might find them interesting.

meh, all good bro , its good to see classic atvs !. you better check the piston for damage ?, if the intake valve is bent ?, more than likely it struck the piston. and most times when a valve gets bent ?, its because of a bad cam chain , out of time ?, or bad connecting rod ?.

I've been doing it long enough I have a pretty good rep. People will drive a couple hundred miles to drop off machines both at the buisness and my home shop. 30 some years now and I'm still learning. Sorry for taking it off topic shadetree, I just wanted to share the missed deal.

This is a very interesting theory. I think back to my crashes and yes they did happen very early in the day of riding. The exception is any crash on a mx track. Those can happen at anytime with no warning though. Broke my shoulder blade (among other things) 30 minutes into the day of riding a few years back. All other serious injury crashes i have been witness too have been 30 minutes or sooner aswell in the woods.

It was amazing, as we were driving towards it you could see it from miles and it honeslty looks fake until you are driving right next to since its so big!

National, Timken and Nachi are 3 other very high quality bearings. KBC isnt total garbage either. Bearings are something i have had the chance to test alot. We have ran almost all brands in frontload washers through the years when doing rebuilds.

I priced mine for the kq at the local dealer and they told me they were $127.00 each. But I managed to cross reference the same part to a suzuki swift and a geo tracker, same part on both but the car part was 15 bucks...lol

Boss is another All Balls rebrand, they can say boss on the package but it's All Balls on the inside now lol. I'm not sure if Boss got worse or if All Balls got better, but I know the All Ball's bearings are different from the older style. Remember the older style I think had the split inner race, and blue seals. But now they have a solid inner race and black seals, just like BOSS. Though the sets I bought, the Boss had less grease packed in behind the seals than the All Balls did. I typically pack them full of my own grease anyway. I buy OEM only. and if I can't get OEM I'll go to a bearing shop and try to get them right from NTN, IIRC that is who Honda sources for their bearings.

Nah she will be plenty reliable. Unless your talking about the speed im building it at. And in that case yeah im gunna spend the winter on it. Clean everything up so the motor looks new. Go over every single detail 100 times and make sure i dont have to do it again lol. No rush. And honestly i still dont have the crank back from crankworks yet anyway so im in a holding pattern anyway.

Gearing is pretty simple. Each tooth you go down in the front is like 3 in the rear. Its all about mechanical advantage. The lower in front more torque and less top speed. Bigger means less torque and more top speed. The rear sprocket is opposite. Bigger in rear more torque. Smaller less torque. Thats why i went one smaller in rear to counteract the one down in the front. I had to drop my gearing for the tight corners and short straights at our local fair race.

We have an abundance of bears in one area I hunt. Last week I just got mine back from taxidermist. I shot her late Sept 2018. It was my first bear, & due to the colour phase decided to give her a place on the wall. They are $2500 for a half mount, however the lady I used did it for $1400 to get her name out there. This was her second bear she's done.

Only thing I don’t like about it is the single bar nut I think that’s kind of stupid. Other than that nice saw. Put it to work!

That storm killed a lot of cattle. I think we sold a dozen track kits after that one. No one could get out and see the damage and start a clean up without them. We have a lot of customers from that area.

Sam, as you may remember.....me and the wife love Colorado. We try to ride off road there every year or two if possible. I rode there twice in two weeks two years ago! We also ride Mena Arkansas and Red river motorcycle park in Bulcher Texas. I've been to Cloud Croft New Mexico a few times to ride off road there.....first time was the infamous 911......wow, that was an experience. I love to hike and explore but my knees are shot, We hiked the Grand Canyon down to "Plateau Point" and back up in about five hours back in 1984......thirteen miles! I want to drive around and do something similar to what riverc did but that's in my future. My dream vacation would to load the wheelers and my YZ 250 in a small "Toy Box" trailer and travel without any hurry or specific agenda. Perhaps take several years doing it too! By the way Sam.......are you and the wife and Baby X still planning on a trip to the States when " the money's right?" If so just let us know. I'm sure several us us can help/accommodate.

We normally go to the beach every summer. Go to a fairly remote spot just South of Charleston SC that is gated, so the beaches are more or less deserted and the area is right next to a huge nature preserve so they're very strict on keeping the area critter friendly. When the kids were younger we'd crab, fish, explore the marshes and play with all the critters, but now that they're teenage girls we pretty much sit on the beach, read, and drink beer, and then eat a lot of seafood. Didn't go last year because wife was 11 months pregnant during beach season (really only 7, but she looked like she was 11). Already put a deposit down on the house for next summer. I'd be content to hang out around the farm, but with a house full of women, the beach it is. I do love me some seafood, and Charleston is a really neat city, so I enjoy the trip.

This is gonna be a fun build! Your combo might be really good for making torque. What will the bore & stroke and rod length be? Are you gonna run the same cam profiles? What is your dynamic compression ratio gonna be? I'm curious because the additional displacement will tame the cam down a bit. But other factors... Increased stroke & shorter rod length may alter piston deceleration/acceleration (dwell time) near BDC. Gross piston speed is increased and those two factors will alter the intake and exhaust events' port flow characteristics considerably too. Are there any cam options in the budget? :-)

I'd stay with a stock jug , so when a " oh no " happens , it is not as much of a waste of money to bring it back to life ---- put a load muffler on it and it will make your brain think your ragging it , LOL I have heard a theory that I have bought into , when you sleeve the jugs over size , you are making the aluminum part of the jug very thin , so it gets hotter , when you hit water it cools rapidly and causes problems like warpage that lead to a short life --- you might not ride water so you don't have that to worry about aspect
