That load is yellow birch..... From last year, when a storm blew in....and took her down, Here's a couple days right after the mess. The other pic ^^ is a green hackberry .... Baisically that furness will eat anything, except green sap filled pine.... , i haven't tried too much cedar, (rare around here) but! What little i have gotten burns well, even when the furness blower cycles off, there's still enough auto air draft to keep a bed of coals....with cedar other species include Oak, walnut, locus .... I've tried Cotten wood, that had to be almost as bad about going out as green pine (a complete waist of time) bodock is good..... But very hard to deal with.... actually they take too much time time to de limb. locus would have to top in my book.... But very rare nowa days...... I burn mostly oak, hackberry , and crooked wallnut trees (i lieve the straight walnut trees standing ) <<<$$$ ill take about ..... any blow downs except Cotten wood, and green pine.

Here's a few pics not sure how good you can see them, but I'll put the white birch first, then there are 3 yellow birch in the next pic, then the last will be of the yb in my wood pile at home. Birch has a paper like skin, great for fire starter.the last pic is some of the dry hardwood I get from on the beaver dams here.

7:30 Am , one side is finished , ran into a first for me , the SuperATV replacement disc brake inner pad would not go on , I had to take a rat tail file and make one of the square hole in the pad just a little bigger on the bottom side for the pad to cock into place ----another 30 minutes and she is ready to go This is the best condition mechanically and mod-wise it has ever been in : just put new knuckle bearings and seals , ball joints and just one new tie rod end , keeping the other 3 for spares while out in the woods Wiseco 10..5/1 piston , dog house head porting , 54% reduction , EBC clutch kit , 250 cam , sprocket and chain , 250 jug bored with 250 slack adjuster ( same displacement as a 300 ) , 1988 exhaust header and a performance muffler , 3 inch extended swing arm with hitch , rear brake delete , hub paddles , longer rear wheel studs , 2 inch spacers , front diff is shimmed for some extra traction , Warn 424 kickout , SuperWinch , custom winch plate and fairlead , KFI controller , 1000 watt MP3 player with 4 pod speakers , custom double cooler and fan , suicide hand shifter , rear view mirror , Garmin Montana GPS with quick mount , 27 Outlaws with aluminum slots , 420 front shocks , Worx nitrogen rear shock with a custom shock mount , stick stoppers , hub oil/grease in diffs and transfer case , led lights in front fender , 20 inch light bar , snorkeled air box , front disc conversion with 1 inch spacers , 250 brake master ( bigger reservoir ) , reverse lock out by pass , 2 Pelican boxes , Savant floor boards , fenders raised 1 1/2 inches and tied into the floor boards , machette w/ mount , drink holder , etc one mod still to do , when the right side cover comes off again , I got a 450 clutch basket to throw in it and take them HD EBC springs out and go back stock , but since the hand shifter , it is not so hard on my foot shifting , so the HD springs might stay

the cam chain tensioner is auto. what this means is, when the chain stretches ?, the plunger slides out on its own from the internal spring, this forces it out, and into the cam chain guide that rest just inside the cylinder, and this takes up the slack on the chain as it stretches. when you go to install a new chain, you will need to remove the small bolt off the end of the adjuster, reach inside it with a tiny screw driver, turn it, it will draw the ram ( plunger ) back in, to allow you to bolt it back to the cylinder.

do I got to draw you a step by step pic ?..lol. you seen the pic I posted ^^^^ ..right ??. if that distance BETWEEN THE BOTTOM OF ADJUSTER ,and the cylinder is not at least 5/8 to 3/4 ?, then the cam chain is stretched. by this, I mean when you unbolt the adjuster, ease it out of the cylinder hole, it will already be pushed out to full position, so when you go to stab it back in like your going to bolt it in ?, that that bottom distance is anything like that pic ^^^^^ I posted ?, then this means the cam chain needs to be replaced. when the cam chain is new ?, you will have a larger gap between the bottom of the adjuster and cylinder bolt hole on cylinder.

I was thinking about the turning radius , the 424 is going to help , but , this 300 is 5 inches longer on the wheel base then my second gens and it has shims in the front diff for traction , it has a 3 inch swing arm extension and 1st gens are 2 inches longer in the front ----

The C-clamp is from a Harbor Freight cheapie set ---- The pieces that are painted red I made , notice they are two different sizes , one fits the 450 the other the 300 , the cap fits both ---- with the clamp you can install the ball joint in the upper arms with the a-arms still on the bike , since they were already off for the 424 I stuck them in like that ---- just can just use the collars and a hammer , I think you take less a chance of cracking them with a clamp

I'm not all up to date on the old motorcycles. They had the 300 touring and the 300 sport (leg burning exhaust up high). If I ever get time I want to get all of my dads in one place and going again (if possible). A few in storage at the shop here.

The 85 TRX125 had the Z stripe decal like you have, 86 was a straight decal, 87 was a new body style that was red and white and 88 was solid red. The white on the 185s tank decal makes it the 81, 82 had a two tone blue decal and 83 had one that came down from the top and ran along the bottom of the tank.

id have to disagree with the above statement ..... Lol ..... I'm intolerant / prejudiced about certain things, ( like the problem with illegal drug use) but a snowflake ? I THINK NOT!! Other than frozen rain, a "snowflake" is a term used to describe an overly sensitive person who thinks the world revolves around them.

Tools You can never own enough ! My favorites would be the modified HF lift table that is recessed in My garage floor it will accommodate atv's with the side extensions and My china made modified 20 ton press repowered to 35 ton . I rebuild My own MX crankshafts and 20 ton will not do it ! Have a suspension bench for and shocks and forks It is only 12' x 21' Try to make the most out of it !

As the title suggests.......this was the best day ever. A few years ago we talked about our favorite things to do. I said it was a great day when I ride, shoot and smoke meat. That's what I did today.......in addition to that my two daughters were here with there husbands. That made it the best day ever. Merry Christmas everybody.
