5 pointsThanks guys. guess I should have mentioned.. yes I did get to the hospital late the day after it happened. Had 16 x-rays. Yes.. 16! Was at hospital till 2am. Doc couldn’t believe no fractures. Just all muscle/tissue damage.

4 pointsFinally had a day off where I could put the 88 350d to work. I still have a lot of wood to stack and split.

2 pointsUnfortunately there's not anything made for the Hondamatic Rubicons. A while back there was a 7% floating around, but I'm not sure on the specifics of it. If you're going to be in there anyway might be worth a look. @toodeep hasn't been on much lately, but maybe he'll chime in. toodeep No such thing except the 7% using a 450 gear. A little searching on here should bring up a couple threads on that. There are rumors that Honda is going to bring out a small SXS using the Rubicon power plant. When they did that with the Rincon power plant they gear downed the motor, possibly a chance there in the future (if the rumor holds true). Turner (I'm pretty sure that was the company) use to make a gear reduction years ago but it was expensive and always a waiting list, a long one until they had enough to build them.

2 pointsYou'd be suprised what these things can take. My sister and one of her idiot "friends" hit a tree on my 09 Foreman going about 35. Bent the frame, busted front plastics, bent the right front wheel, tie rod, front bumper, and broke off the front diff mounting bracket at the very front. Swapped everything to a straight frame, new front bumper, rack, fender, tie rod, and wheel and it's been fine since. Rolling one over the only thing I'd be worried about on the engine is oil level, and make sure oil didn't dump through the crankcase vent and soak your air filter.

2 points! man. Sorry you got hurt, glad it wasn't worse. Might want to get it looked at and make sure there's nothing in there that requires more attention.

2 pointsI just got chewed on by some guy on bookface who chimed in on a post and said he didn't feel any power loss with 28" Outlaws on a stock 420. I called BS, pointed out proper gearing, the pinned sticky from HL from 2011, and the laws of physics. He got upset and screeched at me a minute about his "opinion". The problem I have with these people is they'll say "Muh stock Honda turns 30's grate with no GR". NO, it absolutely does not. Some kid reads that, and instead of buying a GR, said kid runs out and spends $800 on new tires, and then tears up his wheeler trying to pull them without proper gearing. I've run tires that were bigger than ideal on stock bikes, but I would never tell people that it's a good idea. Gearing is important. Save your money, put in a GR if you want to run big tires. Drives me nuts.

2 pointssmall update: spent a few hours on this ole gal today, made a tiny bit of progress, mocked up the rear fender, front fender, got front bumper cleaned and painted, front skid plate painted, and a few small parts painted. was able to run it a bit today ( fish got to hear her crank and run ! ), needed to see if my muffler fix was gonna work ?, so far seems too be holding !. got the battery installed, all the wire harness cleaned up as well. front lights work. ran new rear brake cable to rear brake. bunch of tid-bit stuff here and there. here's some progress pic's for all you atv pic perv's !. sorry its been so long sense last update ?, but i needed to take a break and enjoy some lake time on my jet ski, finish some cabin work, now i'm back on this old gal trying to finish her up !. yes the fenders are still dirty, but i am not done with them yet.

1 pointCredit to "intoodeep" over on the Highlifter board for this listing, which was done in about 2011. The info is good info, and with no traffic over on the HL board I figured I would copy the info before it disappears. kids tire (true mud tire) guide for honda atvs Since the honda section has more " can i spin x tire with my bike" threads then all other brand sections combined, i thought this would help the youngsters. 300 stock 25s 300 w small gr 27s 300 w big gr 29.5-30 350 rancher stock 26s 350 rancher with 23% gr 27-28 350 rancher with big gr 29.5-30 400 rancher stock not possible 400 rancher gr 26s 420sra stock 27s 420sra w small gr 28s 420sra w 2 small gr 29.5-30 420sra w 35% gr 29.5-30s 420sra w 50% gr 32s 420sra w 69% gr 32s 420sra w 84% gr 32.5s (mambas are heavy lol) 420 at stock 25s 420at w sra.gr 27s 420at w big gr 28s 450 stock 27s 450 small gr 28s 450 big gr 29.5-30s 500 foreman refer to.the 420 sra chart. 1 pointNope it's the secondary. The 450 is 42 tooth, the Rubicon is 40 tooth.

1 point----- You want to try something for the pain and to make it heal quicker , magnetic healing , get a sheet of magnetic flexible material which is sold for medial use , put a strip over the area that hurts and tape it on , the pain will be much better quick and it will heal up faster , it worked for me , ask your doctor about it ---- Can you'll get the CBD oil up there ?

1 pointWell my nickname came from riding a 84 ytm 200 with all the big quads going where they go on two wheels turning or going straight. Also theres more than one Nathan in the same group !.

1 pointYep. 450's aren't known to have problems with dogs rounding off on the gears. Look at the top pic here (the 4 dog gear found 05-08). Notice how those are rounded off a bit compared to the updated 6 dog gear in the next pic?

1 point100% 👍 Just saw this this weekend. Local kid put 24" tires on his Yamaha Raptor (sock is 20)... says to the riding group "I don't understand, I'm not going as fast as I was before"
-
1 pointI'd check the grounds, hook up those brake microswitches, and what does it do in reverse? The Rubicons are finicky when it comes to limp mode. I've seen some that have that engine cut out when the reverse switch wasn't being fully pressed in.

1 pointi agree with jeep, that knot right ontop of the joint is kinda close to what mine looked like when i had a 3rd degree sepperation ... of my right shoulder.

1 pointLike any powerful machine.. lots of stupid out there riding them. My wife absolutely loves ours. We got it for touring. Yes you read that right. It handles the mountain passes and wide open prairie and desert like a dream. Fast? Yes but that bike is so comfortable, many are surprised by how it feels. Admittedly my wife fell asleep on the back and once I noticed I brought an end to that but in her defense we do have a backrest for her as well. Fun little note for those that don't know, the Suzuki GSX1300R was created to put down the Honda CBR1100XX. Of course its more fitting to go by their names Hayabusa ('Peregrine' Falcon) vs Super Blackbird. 😄

1 pointI saw that one too and it was pretty good. Anybody wonder what kind of hypocrites people like Charlize Theron and other Hollywood anti-gunners are when they do movies in which they are shooting people. When she was dating Sean Penn she talked him into welding his whole gun collection together as a monument to gun violence. Then she dumped him. What an idiot. I was ranting about it to my wife once. She said "What would you do if I asked you to give them up?" I replied that she would be hitting the road.
-
1 pointI would get a UTV , I really do want one , but the trails around here would take a lot of work making them wider , then all my buddies with SUVs and UTVs with big tires would be over here tearing it up , then the smaller bikes would catch a hard time ----- but then it would be a good way to take the handle bars out my wife's hands , that could save money right there , LOL

1 pointthe tank screen can not be removed from the top, petcock has to come off the bottom of the tank, then you pull the pick up screen down out of the tank.

1 pointfirst of all, is this an OEM carb from HONDA ? ,or is it just a stupid china knock-off ???. if the later ?, that tells me all i need to know as far as fuel goes !. second: have got everything on the engine set up, lined up, all in time ?, third: what is the compression now ?. fourth: IF ALL ELSE FAILS ?, BRING THAT DANG THING TO ME, I'LL FIX IT !. fith: is all parts OEM from HONDA ?. last but not least, when in doubt ?, BLOW IT UP !..LOL.
