4 pointsI'd rather pay a heating bill than an air conditioning bill! I hate hot weather. Cold keeps out some of the riff raff too. 😁

3 pointsFor some reason my text got lost. I saw this ship with Airbus on board written on the side heading in from the Gulf going to Mobile. Did some Googling and found out one a month brings a boatload of airplane parts for final assembly in Mobile. They build Airbus A320 airliners there for the US market.

3 pointsI got lucky and when Texas got nailed with the super high electric bills I got to shopping around and locked my Electric in at $0.0675 per kw/hr. Did my gas likewise but I know there's some itty bitty print buried deep down in that contract that says they can raise the rates when the decide they aren't making enough from me. One key for electric suppliers is don't go green. I picked Dayton Power and Light which still produces electricity the old fashioned way. Burn coal. Keeps Americans working.

1 pointWell as some of you might remember, I have a spare Wide Open 424 kit. The cable got mess up, I temporarily fixed it but was never rite. I'm going to tear into it, make sure all the bearings, seals are good, no rust on the rods etc. I'll have to either locate another cable, have a shop make me one, or do a better job at repairing this one.. I'll post up pics once I get into it..

1 pointIs the air filter and intake tube clean and free from any obstructions? If your still using the factory intake system mice like to build a nest on top of the fuel tank exactly where the factory air intake is.

1 pointQueen Mary 2, in 2006, biggest ship at the time, then a few others in the past few years.

1 pointYep. People complain when I dress for the heat. It's not a pretty sight. I don't mind it so much at home since a 15 minute dip in the little pool cools me back off.

1 pointWe have fools living in campers on the side streets here in Bozeman. A 9th circuit Court Judge out of Boise Idaho passed an ordinance that prohibits cities to kick people in campers off of public city streets it says: "Ordinances must allow homeless individuals to take “the most rudimentary precautions” against the elements." If they force individuals to leave they are in violation of the 8th ammendment. So for some reason this judge has the power to make decisions like this for our area. So any street in our area that is not residential or has been layed out for for future businesses that has not yet been developed is fair game for squatters to park a camper or set up a tent and live along the streets. Even in winter weather. There is garbage everywhere, who knows where they're going to the bathroom, there's no way they have running water this time of year. Pipes and septic lines would be frozen solid. So based on what I'm seeing, the cold isnot keeping the riff raff out.

1 pointShot a doe a few weeks ago. My hunting buddy( middle son) and I have seen a few bucks but not in his comfortable shooting range. Sometimes I like just watching the deer do their thing. Need to take about 2 more to carry us through the year. It always gets tough from Thanksgiving out to take one here.

1 pointI just read about that. Guess NASA wasn't all that interested in picking up all the pieces of the Shuttle. A chunk that size shouldn't be hard to find when the taxpayers are footing the bill. The Edmund Fitzgerald has long been of interest to me and I try to watch or read everything I see on it. There was a series on I think Smithsonian channel about shipwrecks. Modern wrecks. You'd think those wouldn't happen that often but there's still companies that defer maintenance allowing unsafe cargo ships to enter storms. Stupid and completely avoidable most are. Still there are some that get in between the perfect set of waves and break the backs. Stuff they were never designed to do. That was one of the theories with the Edmund Fitzgerald. That and hatches not fully sealed.
