Guy about halfway between work and home had "some 500 parts" for sale. Looks like a bottom end with a shot rod, white rear fender, green front fender, gas tank, front diff/CV's/a-arms/knuckles/brakes, and a rear end and a half. Said he wanted $500 for all of it. I went by to look at it, figuring I'd offer quite a bit less depending on the condition of splines etc, and he also had a front bumper, wiring harness, meter, front rack, and some other odds and ends. He threw out $400, and I told him if he'd throw in the set of 12" factory wheels I'd take all of it. Going by to pick it up on the way home from work today. I have hoarding tendencies bad, but ! if prices on this stuff don't just keep going up and up, so I'm trying to hoard spares since I plan on riding my 06 and 09 till I die, and the 2 Rubicons that I also plan on keeping forever use the same racks, fenders, diffs, brakes etc

Well, I got the 54 inch Honda Warn package with my ‘22 Rubicon and put it to work today on 10 inches of snow. On low range the engine never bogged down, wondering if I should have gone with the 6 foot plow. Any one has one set up? Does it bog down the front end too much? I’m gonna max out the preload on the shocks tomorrow. This is what I did after researching several forums … 20 inch axle strap looped on top rack (Tractor Supply) couple cable clamps with rope thimble Amstel synthetic rope double folded so I got 4 strands supporting the plow SSACK snatch block that perfectly fits on plow. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08X6GDJJW?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_details I needed the sheave width to handle 4 strands of rope without jamming on the sides of the snatch block. I’m still thinking through mounting a linear actuator for plow angle. I need to design the mounting hardware. As always, suggestions and criticism are welcome.

The 72 inch would probably work in light snow but with any a good amount or good heavy snow the machine won't handle it weight wise. I run the 60 inch on the 4 wheelers and at times it will move the machine around. I've had the 72 turn my MUV BigRed sideways too many times to mention. You probably have a good size to work in all conditions. We are barely getting enough snow to cover the ground, in some places. My BigRed is ready, the 4 wheeler is ready and hopefully Monday the little things left on the pickup plow are here and it's ready when it does get here. If using the winch only for plowing a flat strap is the way to go. I use mine for recovery as well as the plow so I deal with the wear it puts on the cables. For me the synthetic cable lasted longer than steel.

Great job Shadetree looks really nice.... I'm sure it will run the way a Honda is supposed to run.

Trees grow from the top not the bottom. If they did grow from the bottom up every cow in the country would be running loose.

Used my 300 4x4 to help the Old John Deere 140 pull my Sugar Shack up closer to the winter setup location. This is the first year Ill be cooking inside a little shed and may build a bigger shed next year but for this year I'll be boiling inside vs outside. Still have to finish off the entry side of the shack and get a door put in.

Ruffed grouse hunting now and whitetails in November. I've had my scabbard mounted by my hip and facing rearward for years. Fastest way for me to dismount while drawing my firearm. Also keeps it from sticking out and getting snagged.
