  1. all rebuild kits and or complete new axles I can find only go back to 1987, but is there really a difference, can I somehow modify an '87 to work on my 1986? Seems improbable 1986 's have become so obsolete by manufacture industry standards, there must be at least a few 10,000's of them out there? what are 1986 owner out there doing for parts now? thanks russell
  2. I'm here in Fairbanks Alaska, believe it or not, this is my first 4x4 quad, got a bus full of nice race chassis 3-Jams, much favored rides. On this quad however, I did all the engine brakes and electrical and fuel system's last summer, even found another inexpensive parts bike, and now looking for any valuable information on the rest to finish this winter. 1. need information on who may have rebuild kits (and the best one's recommended) for the 1986 trx350 Constant-Velocity joints, all four of them, in front of the bike. 2. the front and rear drive-line, u-joints, does anyone know of an upgrade parts supplier, to (perhaps) machinist new replaceable u-joints' into the OEM drivelines, or even replacement upgrades possibly available out there. 3. I have some Honda 450 shocks on the way, to do the rumored upgrade, to attempt to achieve extra inch or so of tire clearance on all four corners. 4. Get the tallest rim and tire size possible onto the bike, discovered this abandoned bike, and bought it at a salvage yard, in total trashed condition, ($100 bucks, clean bill of sale) will only actually do about 40 mph -tops. -waaay too boring of a ride in this condition, got to get taller tires. Thanks in advance for any hard earned advice you might have! Looking on-line today for the above mechanical issues thanks russell
