  1. my memory might be a tad off ?. but i think most rear racks are all the same fit.
  2. shifting shafts on all models of the trx350's 1986-1989 are the same.
  3. had today to head to cabin, and use the box blade on drive way, the power company did a number on it, rutted it all up near the road at start of drive, spent about 2 hrs on it this morning with the kubota and box blade, i'm happy with it now. first 4 pic's, you can see the white river in the far back end, those are floating docks, river is way up right now, normally you can not see the tops of the docks when the river is down. standing on front porch deck of my cabin, you can see the river.
  4. you are correct. lower engine is the same, only thing they changed is the cylinder size, and the piston size.
  5. i'll save you some worry about the plastics. if you remove the front and rear fenders, on the underside, there is a place that is pre-circled for a hole where the racks will fit through once the hole is cut out. you really can't mess them up if you use the pre-templet to cut out for the rack legs. the frame right under these cut-outs are ready to bolt up the rack legs. you will need all the hardware to attach the racks to the frame.
  6. you do not need to pull motor in order to replace parts in the back. you will need to remove the stator cover, and flywheel in order to change out the parts.
  7. @pop fry , just some light info for future reference , a trx450fm/s/es crank is the same crank as the trx400fm !.
  8. your worst, and biggest mistake was buying china parts from amazon !!!, china parts...equals china results !!..BUY OEM PARTS FROM HONDA !!. i get it..you wanted to save a few bucks with cheaper parts ?..BUT YOU CAN NOT CHEAP OUT ON HONDA ATV PARTS...EVER !!. buy only oem parts, and most of your problems will be solved.
  9. '' IF '' you can get a key cut from any honda dealer ?, they are your best shot. you would be better off just buying a brand new ignition switch from HONDA MND YOU !!..and replacing the whole switch, then have 2 new oem keys.
  10. sounds like the cam chain is stretched, and its out of time.
  11. yes..that is how they work. as for the ticking ?, unless you are not adjusting the valves on the correct stroke ?, i'd say the cam chain needs replacing. is this a trx500 rubi ?, i have not worked on many of these models, why ?, because most are automatics ?, or es ( electric shifts ) ?, and neither of them do i like one bit !..lol. if its a fm ( manual shift ) ?, then i know a tad about these models. be warned !!..the early trx500fm's came from the factory with a bad first gear design !.
  12. not looking for a full size tiller, spec a rear tine tiller. i'm thinking real small and light weight front tine type.
  13. winches are not meant to be jerked on...hello !!!..lol. i've run warn all my life, yes..they have a plastic gear housing the gears rotate in, never had a warn fail me yet ?, then again..i do not jerk on them !...lol.
  14. you can't see it in the pic's ^^ , but i left a spot on the far corner of other end, 6ft opening for a gate sorta, to get a hand tiller in, its just hooked to the corner post, easy to unhook. i was thinking of buying a small honda tiller, more like a cultivator style to keep the grass and weeds down, but man..honda is proud of them..almost 500 plus tax !..lol. i'm too old for a hoe and hand plucking...rofl.
  15. lol..it's very easy to mess up on those shims. i can tell you where every one sits..shaft has one shim that goes on first, slides down to c-clip, put shaft in case, slide top middle case on, then shim, then shifter parts, once all those are together, then the last shim goes on the very outer end, 3 in total.
  16. if it will shift before you tighten down the front cover bolts..but not after ?, this tells me you got something wrong with some thrust washers in wrong spot ?, double stacked maybe ? on the shifter shaft. did you loosen the clutch adjuster on front cover all the way ?. is the adjuster binding up in the clutch cover or the change clutch part area on top of the change clutch ?. my very first thought has me thinking the problem is the adjuster and change clutch parts ?. MAKE SURE YOU ARE FACING THE CHANGE CLUTCH PARTS THE CORRECT WAY BEFORE YOU SET THE COVER ON !.
  17. got some pics of the garden ready to see some plants !. fenced it in, 25x50 area.
  18. make sure to check the battery leads from battery to ground, and battery to solenoid, then from solenoid to starter, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THEM CONNECTED IN THE RIGHT ORDER !.
  19. maier fenders will not allow you to add outer flares, why ?, they do not make the outer edge like oem to attach flares to, nor do they drill the holes for the push pins. also, they do not allow a rear trunk area. stay oem, even if you have to buy used fenders.
  20. got my garden tilled, but i did forget to take some pics !..lol. i may be back over there tomorrow ?, i'll try to snap some pics. as for how the tractor and tiller did ?, worked very good..no issues at all.
  21. 1500 seems very low ?, i wonder what all it needs ??..lol. too big for my new trailer, if it does not need anything at all ?..i'd say someone needs to jump on it !.
  22. wired wrong from battery would be my first guess as well. or a bad starter solenoid would be my second guess..or both !.
  23. moose is made in Taiwan or china now ?, shindy is made in japan. ( unless you fall for a knock off ? ).
  24. you should have used a shindy carb kit, its just as good...if not better than oem from honda.
