  1. hmm..well..its either leaking from same seal ?, or the rear diff pinion oil seal is bad ?.
  2. really ?..wow..have times changed. voltage that high will cook most batteries.
  3. 14 volts coming out of reg/rec is too high.
  4. ok, did you clean all the old oil out before you installed swing arm ?.
  5. have you checked the voltage on battery with it running to see what the output of the stator is ?. if battery is still good ?, then this means the reg/rec is bad ?, or the stator is bad ?.
  6. then some how you messed up the new seal installing it ?, or maybe is was the wrong seal ?, do not know ?.
  7. its not gear oil from the rear diff is it ?.
  8. welcome to the forums. you are deff in the right place for help. depending on how much money you want to spend ?, will determine which way you go. from the looks of that cylinder ^^ . i'd say its toast. start with either a new cylinder ( pricey ! ), or a used one that can be bored over. you will need another crank ( used ) ?, or new rod put back on that crank if the crank is still good ?. new cam chain, all new oil seals, new crank bearings. gaskets. tube of yamabond or hondabond to seal the rocker box..DO NOT USE RTV SEALANT !. new piston kit to match the bored cylinder, g&h can do all of this for the cylinder work. you will need a valve spring compressor tool to put the valves back in the head, a hammer and socket can remove them, but you need the tool to install them back in the head. it would also be a good idea to replace the oil pump chain while you have it apart. inspect the friction disk on the change clutch, inspect the primary clutch weights for wear while also apart. pick up a shindy carb rebuild kit for the carb. replace the fuel lines with new. have any questions, ask away !.
  9. believe me, i went round and round with my agent, blew up on him..i said '' what the freak does my credit score got to do with the way i drive '' ?..lol. yeah..i call b.s. !. but yes, everyone needs to call their insurance campany, and ask them if their credit score has anything to do with their rate ?, chances are..it will !.
  10. good deal, hope it solved your problem !.
  11. i wish !..for real..they base your insurance rate here by your credit score !!!!.i found this out many yrs ago.
  12. check the battery, see if its fully charged ?. welcome to the forums.

  14. if the cable is out of adjustment ?, or not on it ?, the lever wont move.
  15. don't get me wrong ?..some trx300's have a lot of compression !.
  16. thanks !. this is the very same hitch i have on my '00 silverado. with wdh, it is rated to pull 12k lbs.
  17. i've rebuilt a lot of rear ends on atvs..you are correct, some of them are a royal PITA !..LOL
  18. i hate to break it to ya ?, but if the teeth decide to go ?, a magnetic fill cap/plug is NOT going to save the ring gear and pinion gear !, by the time you discover it picked up some teeth ?, the rear end is toast !.
  19. lol, yeah..these models have a ton of compression, nothing like a trx300fw has.
  20. you might be right ?, i thought he was talking about the speed sensors, he should have narrowed it down huh ?..lol.

  23. haha. just remember, one man's junk..is another man's treasure '' !. as long as you got parts ?, these old girls can be rebuilt !. its just getting the parts , is what makes these atvs so hard to work on, this is why i love working on them, but dread trying to locate parts..lol.
