  1. try this, loosen the right side bolt, lock nut too, screw the center bolt in , snug it by hand a good ways, then tighten down the lock nut, see what gap you have ?, post a pic of it plz. i'm thinking you are correct ( if all parts in swing arm are right ? ) that you are over torqueing it.
  2. jeep forgot to tell you, the engine has to be split , in order to replace the shift drum. you can pull the rear cover with engine still in frame, tight fit to remove cover, but can be done . once rear cover is off, you can use a flat blade screw driver to spin the back end of the shift drum, you will see rear quickly if the end is broken off if it spins real easy ?.
  3. early ranchers, such as yours, . no difference between front and rear speed sensor, other than what model its on ?.
  4. these bolts were 3/4, grad # 8 bolts, they are tight !..lol
  5. no i did not use a torque wrench, yes i used setting #3, hammered the crap outta them !..lol. tell you're friend it's on there !..rofl.
  6. both of my saws are auto, can't adjust it. and i do not like that part of them.
  7. the rear shocks are..or were ?, front shocks are not.
  8. you are right...you are here huh ?!..lol.
  9. oh yeah !..lol. i installed the hitch on my sisters truck, start to finish, about an hour, give or take ?, this thing is bad to the bone !.
  10. looks like you have it lifted ?.
  11. ok. well, something is not right with the swing arm gap, i have never seen that much gap on any atv i've built. maybe wrong swing arm, maybe frame spread apart ?, but something is not right with it !.
  12. not really..i just loved the sound of it..lol.
  13. i wanted to see the right side of the swing arm, so i could see if the swing arm bearings were double stacked or not ?.
  14. i did that..my dad used to chew my butt for doing it on his chevy caprice , it had a 305 in it, sounded mean when i turned the air filter lid upside down..lol.
  15. what we really wanna know, is how many hp did you gain ??..lol.
  16. i only find it disturbing..cuz the roo has a hotter gal than i do !..rofl.
  17. air filter sits on top, right above the rocker box. you will need all of those parts to make it run right. you can go to partzilla, look up 1986 HONDA TRX350 FOURTRAX, and it will break it all down on what parts you need. be warned !, parts for these are mostly discontinued from honda today !. the big problem you face ?, is honda no longer sells the c.d.i.'s for these models..not even after market ricks brand sells them. so, it will be nothing but used all the way, and you must have a 1986 c.d.i. !, later years will not work for this year.
  18. yep, it'll buff out...rofl.
  19. picked this up from a salvage yard, pick-n-pull, you take you're own tools, pull you're own parts, this is how i messed up my hand, smacking on the wrench with an open palm, this will never happen again, that is why i bought my new dewalt, 1/2 drive impact driver !. anyway, spent 3 hrs removing it from a silverado, had to re-weld the plug bracket back on it, grind some rust, got it all cleaned up, painted it, just got done installing it on my sisters '04 extended cab, 2wd silverado, all bolts lined up, plug worked without taking to dealer to program it. cost for receiver ?..$ 33.00 bucks !.
  20. chances are, the back end of the shift drum has snapped off, and is not telling the display or angle sensor what gear you are in. regardless if you ca shift it or not with the foot shift lever welded on ?, this has no effect on the gear read out on the display.
  21. no idea ?, it's done it from day one.
