  1. No kidding! She is a very timid rider being new and likes how easy the 300 drives as is. But yes definitely easier on my wallet as well!
  2. Update to minimise her stress level we ordered stock size Kenda Bear Claws for the 300 for now. She will make the decision later if she wants fancy wheels and bigger tires. She has never ridden a quad before so we decided to go that route. I will send pics when we get them mounted up!
  3. Put the new CDI on it still no spark...had to replace the ignition coil as well and she fired right up! New tires are on the way for it as well. Hope you all had a fun weekend riding! P.s she loves it!
  4. Yes he was the original owner and yes those are the original tires! That clamp is going, it was a mount for a windshield. The front plastics are cracked in one spot but other than that it's in very nice shape I think.
  5. As soon as I get over to get some I will. Probably tomorrow night I should have a few.
  6. Yes I'm guessing it was. I ordered an OEM one from Rocky Mountain ATV today.
  7. Well here's the issue I bought the machine from my dad and he put on a $25 CDI last year that I did not know about. So now I'm positive that's the issue lol
  8. Gotcha! Thanks! I definitely don't want to change the gears.
  9. Not to sound like a noob but what does GR stand for? Lol
  10. Hahahahah too funny! I just bought it from them like 5 min ago!
  11. You will be the first to know shade! I'm curious as well. I'm not one to hide it when I'm wrong! I'll even send pics! Lol
  12. Anyone out there with experience with tires on a TRX 300FW 4x4? I'm really afraid of over tireing it and not being able to get the power out of her. My cousin put blackwater's on his and it could not turn them well. Any thoughts?
  13. Yes I am 25-10-12's on all 4 corners of the 1986 TRX 350A. Love them!
  14. Well I did get some flack for this but my 86 350A has Kenda Executioner's on it now. I took her out mudding last weekend and it was a beast! They have a similar lug design to the stock foreman tractor treads and I love them. I went with 25-10-12 size on all 4 corners. They are heavy but the bike has plenty of power for it and they ride well on and off trail in my opinion. The extra weight and width has also made the bike super stable to ride. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
  15. Ok fellas, I am starting my next quad as the title says this is a 1988 TRX300 FW Fourtrax, and it will be for my girlfriend. The machine is in pretty nice shape like my others and all it needs is a CDI box I think, as It is not getting spark. I will post pictures tonight of it's as is condition. Anyone with history on this bike let me know if I'm on the right track with the CDI box. Thank you!
  16. Wade t sure where to post. I have a friend selling a 2010 Rincon 600? For $1000 if I want it. This seems like a smoke show of a deal since I know it looks factory new and has seen very little use. I just don't know much about the newer bikes. Can any one shed some light on this bike for me? Any issues typical of them? Thanks!
  17. Oh yea lol no I don't mind the rough ride it's just hard on my girlfriend and son when we are all on it together.
  18. Do any of you guys have suggestions or experience upgrading the suspension on the 1986 TRX 350's with some more modern shocks? Nothing wrong with mine just considering a change. Not looking to lift it just want to make it ride a bit better. Thanks!
  19. Looks like Mule Deer to me.
  20. I actually decided not to do that. I like the look without the rack much better. I did paint some trim pieces though!
  21. Thanks! What about the drive line? I read the Foreman had a higher tow rating of 850 lbs? Is there a different rear end in it than my 1986 350A, or did they just adjust the rating?
