You have your work cut out for you. I’m right across the bridge from you. It’s been nice all wk until now. Then it’s suppose to get cold this wk end. Might get out and do some squirrel hunting.

The previous owner left it uncovered since new. It has some slight surface rust. And to be honest I think it had the original oil in it. It was pretty black to only have 1500 miles on it. Well now at least it has fresh Honda oil in it besides the filter. I can’t understand stand people paying that much money for a rig. Then through negligence or more money than sense Just don’t take care of it. I figured y’all would know how to go about it. Much appreciated 👍

You can probably get used stuff on ebay pretty cheap.
You are referring to the oil filter cap bolt, correct?
What’s up Man. Yes I’m referring to the oil filter cap bolt. Probably take it to a friend’s shop and work on it. Working nights doesn’t give a fellow much time to do anything. I have my rubicon to ride in the mean time.

Well about two wks ago I bought a used rincon 07 model. It has 1600 miles and 260 hrs on it And old guy was the original owner who only hunted on it. It’s mechanically sound plenty of power shifts good. Plastics are faded a bit but not to worried about that at the moment. This is the problem I’m having now. I changed the oil and went to take the 12 mm bolt off when I felt it slip. I didn’t want to mess it up any further. What are y’all’s expertise on this. Can I get one of those sockets that grab on to the bolt like a ease out I think. Or weld a nut on top of that and see if it will come off.

Thanks Buckchops I may take you up on that offer.

Please dont give in for a new Troy Built, they are made by a different company and are nowhere the tiller the old ones were. Keep looking Loose you will find one.....
Dang I wish I had posted this earlier lol. I seen some of the newer ones at Lowe’s $1400 😳. I haven’t giving up yet. I have a few leads and hopefully they will pay off.

Those are nice. Last I heard you could still get a 39A through the Marlin custom shop. I think they were only about $3K.....LOL
I think the only reason Remlin is still offering them through the custom shop is so they can say it's the longest production firearm still being made.
The marlin custom shop no thanks lol. I’ve had good luck ordering Guns from gun brokers. I think I paid $450 for the older model and $750 for the newer one. Both are very accurate with cci mini mags or eley subsonic. I’m on the look out for a Winchester 9422 real fine rifle.

I almost bought a vortex. Wish I would have now. I have the Nikon with adjustable turrets on it now. It’s clear and bright out to 75 yards. We have coyotes here really bad. And I would like to step it up to 200 yards. But the scope that I’ve seen that will reach that are around $600 to $2000😳

I just started using these solder seal connectors and I wished I would have found them years ago. A solder and shrink tube fix in one step. Yes, I did use just a chunk of wire for pics or the connector would have been on the wire.
I seen those advertising that product a wk or so on tv. That’s pretty cool and would like a few of those in my tool box.

I just came back from the other site that I belonged to. It’s sad looking at all the spam contents. And nothing is being done about it. Well it’s no use in crying over spilt milk. All the great people are over on this site now.

I’ve got some old pics somewheres of all the cars I’ve owned. 70 GS 455 Buick 69 gto 70 gto 71 gto two 73 dodge challengers rally 340s. 65 mustang with a 351 Windsor swap 9inch 389 gears. 69 firebird 428 4 speed. 69 charger 69 road runner. Probably a few other I’m forgetting. The Buick gran sport 455 with 364 gears was the fastest. I could roll 40mph and floor it and it would lite up both back tires. Miss that car.

I picked up this set for a Marlin 39A. Really, really nice looking wood. That's the first pic, with stock and forend together.
Then another guy ordered from the same place (he asked where I got mine, I told him, and he placed an order). 2nd, 3rd, 4th pics is what he got.
Man that wood is gorgeous.

Rincon oil cover bolt stripped

Well I finally got it off. Went and got some bolt biters from tractor supply’s. I tried to get off with a ratchet bit know go. I cut a pipe 8 inches in length. I had to really bare down on it. Finally it broke loose thinking I broke the head off. But I got lucky on that one. Actually the bolt isn’t that bad. So I tighten it back up snuggly. I’ve never encountered a bolt that tight.
