  1. Clamping to the plastic may work for us otherwise the bars will be used. Thanks
  2. Thanks Jeep. I just ordered two online. $77 for two
  3. I want to install cup holders on both of my TRX 420's. I've seen some in boats and other atv's but didn't pay attention to their mountings. Who has specific information about this subject? I would like to have the holders to accommodate an insulator for my canned drinks and perhaps an adaptor provided to fit an insulated water bottle. Thanks in advance.
  4. I'm thinking turbo too. Perhaps a leak causing the turbo sound easier to hear..
  5. Mice chewed up the same wires on two of my TRX 420's a few years ago. Just buy some wire, heat shrink, a small soldering iron and that thin wire solder. Just relax, have a friend there with you to hold things and have at it!!
  6. Great news! It's a good feeling when perseverance wins isn't it.
  7. Yes, polish the brass. Look down in the seat with a right light and magnifying glass and look for something wrong. O have seen the taper wear out on the seat. My fix for that was to drill the hole out with the next size drill bit which narrowed the seat area allowing for greater psi on the valve.
  8. Get a q tip and polish the seat with toothpaste of something else that is a little abrasive.
  9. I agree, I'm not sure when they first came out but I remember seeing the 90 in 1972 or 1973?
  10. I had a Suzuki GN 400 thumper. It was a simple and comfortable cruiser. Should have hung on to that one.
  11. By the looks of your 90 it would bring more than 1800. It's all original correct?
  12. They would make a great around town/campground machines.
  13. I thought you may live close to the Sierras.
  14. I hated those bikes when young because they were not cool........love them now!!!!! If money were not a problem I'd probably own 6 of the new 125's
  15. I took off my oversized tires/wheels on my 2014 trx 420 and put the stock wheels and tires back on. Several years ago I installed new "pull offs" from my local Honda dealer from a 500 foreman. They are an inch taller. Originally I liked it because they were a little smoother and it went much faster........almost like another half gear above 5th. Since I own another identical machine and ride it as much as the other I finally admitted the smaller wheels are best. The wheeler has much more power in every gear and frankly makes the riding almost effortless. Honda did a good job matching the power to gear ratios on this machine........however the gap between 4th and 5th is a big one.......a little too big.
  16. My two daughters, two sons in law, grandson, granddaughter and wife like to ride so I own two four wheelers and four dirt bikes so everyone can ride something. As a result my enjoyment for my YZ 250 has been awakened. As the title suggests, my first love is dirt bikes.........since 1972 7th grade. 1972 SL 70......a real motorcycle! Since then I've owned perhaps 25 to 30 bikes......mostly off road bikes,a few street bikes, a few dual sports and an old ATC 90. I was prejudice against wheelers because they were slow and that was important to me for many decades. Then a friend sold me 1994 Yamaha Timber wolf 250 around 2005ish? It needed one of everything.....oversized piston, carb assy, , all brake drums, shoes, cams and cables etc etc. ...turned out to be a great wheeler and opened up my mind to wheelers. My daughters liked it so we kept it. Had a friend give me a mid 80's 200 Yamaha wheeler, the one before suspension! Then four TRX 420's after that. My youngest son in really likes the CRF 230F I bought a few weeks ago so I'm riding my YZ much more. I forgot how much fun a high performance two stroke can be. It does things effortlessly that the wheelers struggle to do (Except mud bogging! LOL) Any one else remember their first love?

I saw this fight when it hit You Tube and was pleased as well especially after the swing during the "touch the gloves" gesture.
  18. I put over sized tires and wheels from a 500 Foreman on the 2014 for about two years. I took them off just a few weeks ago because the power is much better but a little less plush ride. I have two sons in laws and another young in law's brother that rode them at full throttle doing drag races, donuts for a few months before I had to ask them to tone it down a little. I drag race it on occasion and cut donuts for my grandson but don't make it a habit.
  19. I've owned four 2008, 2009, 2014, 2017. Never had one problem. I just have the 14 and 18 today. Replaced the tie rod end on the 14 about a year ago. ps....mine were all 2wd manual shift LOL
  20. That's true but they fixed the 4th gear problem somewhere around 2009? Then in 2014 it went to a much stronger base......same as the 500 Foreman
  21. Yep just get some polishing compound and it will look almost new/
  22. I would use fine compound and do a just a few spins while pressing it on . This will give you a good idea of how bad it may be.
