Honda Part Numbers . . .

Recommended Posts

Question on Honda ATV part numbers . . . .

Easier to quote an example:

'99 450 Foreman S . . . . Handlebar  53100-HNO-AO1 . . . . . $108.35

'04 450 Foreman S . . . . Handlebar  53100-HNO-670  . . . . . $76.86

Handlebars appear to be identical . . . I've seen both in a side by side comparison.

Are the last three digits in the part number an upgrade of an existing part, but still interchangeable ?

Any insight would be appreciated !

😊 Text is Honda Red . . . .

Thanks Fishfiles,

The shipping and tariffs to Canada are brutal.

I will remove mine and try to straighten them.

With all the Covid stuff going on . . . . lots of people out in the bush now.

Thank you,

MM

I couldn't even find the handle bars on Rocky Mountain  , looks like they changed the site to me

notice on the interchange list , the handle bar is only for the 1st gen 450s , the 2nd gen must be different or at least a different part number

The red one is a 2002 TRX450FM , the green one is a 2000 TRX450S , both handle bars are black , both are a 6 inch rise , and both look like the same bars , I'd buy the $78 version

I'd bet they are interchangeable 100%.

Kinda like the 07-11 420 cranks and the 12-up cranks were different part numbers, different prices, but were the exact same part.

I'd get used ones, or even better, get some 500 if you can find them. Might be a little longer and give you more leverage.

Came off the back of my Dodge . . . . only one ramp down.

Broke my wrist, cheekbone, and fractured the bone around my eye socket.

Cheek was punctured by a stick, bottom dog on my powersaw punctured me below the eye into my ear.

In G-bear country . . . .

No more 'trick riding' for me . . . . all's good now.  Have a dimple like Brad Pitt !  😎

I remember the story well , I broke that bone under my eye socket , that bone is called an orbital , requirement suspension wires to repair  , flipped   on the three wheeler , along with the jaw , nose , cheekbone , etc

I vaguely remember that now that you mention it.  Old board days.

@basfnb and his brother are well known for breaking orbitals.  Three different times they've hit someone one time, broken the other guy's orbital.    Big mean SOB's they are.
