Chevymec 510 Posted November 8, 2021 My 2nd oldest has wanted to get into hunting for a while. He used the Savage .223 bolt action I bought the boys last Christmas. On October 23rd he shot him in the neck at 200 yds and he melted!! A happy dad moment to say the least. My buck I killed this morning. Only had a few cam pics of him and no pattern what so ever. He came out at 635 this morning and had to wait till 735 when he came chasing a doe 80yds from my stand. It was hard not to shoot him but the property he was on wasn't mine to do so.
