I would say to check battery and voltage regulator if display is cutting of when shifting

The extra power required for the gear shifting motor will causes voltage to drop below threshold for the meter, causing meter to restart

-possible bad shift motor as well causing to much of a draw on electrical system

It’s gonna get expensive if you just keep replacing parts they don’t need to be replaced

Easier just to test voltages with a multimeter at the battery in the voltage regulator and confirm they’re good

Do you have a Honda Factory service manual for your machine?

If not, you can download one for free right here on the forum

Can you to post a video clip of what it’s doing exactly?

I'll get one downloaded. So it goes out at idle then comes back on when throttle is pushed

Sounds like a voltage regulator problem

With a voltmeter you should see  , not running 12-12.5 volts , running at an idle more than 12.5 and reved up  12.5 and not exceed 14.5 , it might be over charging when you rev it up , I seen that happen before , where it would blow a fuse when reved up
