Changing out my jug

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to put a 450 jug on a 400 lower half. And use the 450 head . Iam not having problems with my 400 . Just one of those things I've always wanted to do.  The 400 has what 28 hp. Just thinking of a way to get more

450 jug will bolt on.  Keep the 400 head for a compression bump, as it has a slightly smaller combustion chamber.

Can you go to the 450 piston and use the 400 connecting rod ?

If the pins are a good match, i cant see it being a problem. I switched a 420 cyl/piston with a 475cc. Went right together.

Yep.  450 jug and piston will bolt right onto a 400 bottom end.  You can use either head, but the 400 will give you a bit of a compression bump
