jeepwm69 7,721 Posted August 26 @basfnb's Rubicon was dropped in the yard last week. He thought his Hondamatic was going out. I don't think it's the Hondamatic. I think it might be the rear end. jeepwm69 7,721 Posted August 27 Yeah his pinion bearing is completely roasted. The good news is, with chyna aftermarket junk flooding the market, used OEM diffs have dropped a lot in price. He got a minty looking OEM rear diff from PSN coming that was $170ish. 3-4 years ago a 500 rear diff was about $300. Have a used axle, used left hub, and used diff coming from PSN. All are shiny and splines show no wear. New left axle bearing will go in as well.
