LedFTed 1,135 Posted Thursday at 08:40 PM i replaced the fuel valve, goober show me have to rebuild one. however, it had to sit outside many years, do the poor health of mine. the bolts are fixed, from sitting. i dont want to strip them, i got to take it out though, and replace it, again. sitting so long, the gaskets and such, make it hard to turn. any ideals? retro 4,072 Posted Friday at 04:11 AM Best to use an impact gun to jar the two screws loose. Sometimes the ferrule nuts that are embedded in the plastic fuel tank still may spin though. When that happens ya got two choices, either get another tank or rip the petcock off the tank then glue the two ferrule nuts back into the tank without getting any glue in the threads.
