IMO the cable going to the starter was to small, an the voltage going to the solenoid, might have played a part. not enough. i will have to take the solenoid off. just havnt done it as yet. then, i will post pictures, if the storms aint to bad, it wont be to long. i have seen the damage, from previous solenoids, an it is always the same. thats why i wanted to take the atv solenoid, apart. lasted 20 years, just might be a better built solenoid....
