2003 honda rubicon

 Still having trouble with it going into d1 and d2 it seems to me when the fan comes on it will go into d1 and d2 and shift the way it suposed to do, do you think it could just be a ground or something else      Thanks

Hi: If you have a meter to test with unplug the D1 D2 connector 

In the D1 position you should have continuity on all 3 wires O + Bu/Bl + Bl/G

In  the D2 position you should have continuity on Bu/Bl + Bl/G only also O + G  only

The gear position was that a new or used?

IT was a used one  with the covid its hard to get new parts out of US i will test the wires friday thanks for the reply

FOUND THE PROBLEM IT WAS THE CONNECTION ON THE USED GEAR POSITION SWITCH.I STILL WONDER WHY IT WORKED BEFORE WHEN IT HEATED UP MAYBE WHEN OLD SWIECH GOT HOT IS WAS MAKING THE PROPER CONNECTION. ANYWAY WHE YOU PUT IT IN GEAR D1 D2 WORK IN AUTO AND THATS  WHAT  THE PROBLEM WAS. AFTER TAKING EVERY CONNECTIO APART RELACING ANGLE SENSOR AND CONTROL MOTOR IT ENDED UP BEING GEAR POSITION SWTTCH THANKS FOR YOUR HELP
