We do know 100% sure they goofed on the placement of the line down the threads. But for future reference the motor on a carb model and FI model will be dang near identical. Just a few more sensors is all. Timing will be the same for sure.
It says in the service manual 73psi mine is 95psi is that good compression or to much?

Just now, SlammedRanger said:I would line it up to the center of the hole the best you can. Its not gunna be far enough off when eyeballing it centered to hurt anything. I just had to make my own mark on my quad since the place that lightened my flywheel wasnt nice enough to put it back after removing the place my F and T line were.
Thank you for your input that was what I was wondering if that is what I should do if it would hurt anything to be just a tad off or not this is my first fuel-injected Honda every other Honda I've had has been carbureted

1 minute ago, SlammedRanger said:Looks to me from the pic they machined the groove in the wrong spot in the threads. From the pic it is 100% in the 7 o'clock position? Thats not the right place for sure. It should be 9 o'clock or 3 o'clock.
that's what I'm saying it is definitely not where it's supposed to be I was just confused and wondering if maybe someone has ever seen or ran into this rare phenomenon before LOL

Yes it is still at TDC but could it be a notch or two off if it is not exactly TDC

12 minutes ago, shadetree said:impossible !!!, the line is either on right hand side, or left hand side of the threads. no way in the world is the notch at 7 o'clock like your saying.
I would have thought that it is impossible myself but the pictures do not lie and I know I'm not the smartest crayon in the Box But there again it is not where it's supposed to be LOL

I brought the piston to the top and the pushrods are lined up with one another and also in the roundabout area of the T and F Mark correct? I'm going back together with it right now after a top-end rebuild

It's not where it should be

Are you seeing the photos that I am posting?

I'm saying that the notch is in a different position then it is supposed to be. Should I just imagined that the knots is where it should be and time it that way?
