Did not find a peak voltage meter at home depot. Will order from amazon. Be a few days. Read 12.77 volts Headlight on along with fan and 2 tail lights. Battery dropped slowly to 12.23 volts in 1 min. Key off and battery immediately came back to 12.7

Yes the wires are in the same position as when i took it out. I did not replace the stator or pulse coil. They ohmed out correctly so i put it back in. Isn't there a cranking test i can do to make sure stator is outputting.?

Yes neutral is on. It goes off when i drop it in gear. So it is only on in neutral. Fan comes on when key is in on position.

I am beginning to think that i had a bad cdi and i bought a new bad cdi. No matter which one I use, the same result... no spark.
-
Yes i have tried both cdi several times each. This sub fuse, reads 12 volts on each side with key on. I have not touched the regulator at all. Is it possible that we have a switch issue while in cranking position?
-
Good morning by the way.
-
Yes it cranks great.

That test where i hooked a wire to the ign coil and touched the battery directly. What does that tell us? No spark at the grounded spark plug??
