  1. Jeep, you have sure helped spread the knowledge from a bunch of great people you just named, have read many of their posts just to admire their smarts. Saw you were over here and joined up, got to talk to some good people last night in chat and got some good laughs.
  2. Easy there McGuyver, I aint dissin your duct tape. I figured you was saying use the wd40 to clean the switch and that would involve the inside, I shoulda kept reading. My bad.
  3. That's the way I join my wires is with solder and heat shrink, lasts forever unlike crimping butt splices that get wet a few times and intermittent. What do they say, if you don't have time to do it right the first time then you must have time to do it again.
  4. Just my opinion but I wouldn't use wd40 as it will attract dust. I think the best thing you can use is rubbing alcohol with a syringe or bottle with a snout. Alcohol doesn't attract dust and is very compatible with electronics, cleans well and leaves no residue. Sorry to jump in here with very experienced people and sound like I'm correcting them but just trying to help. I'm here searching and reading Jeep's posts as he has had some very good advice in many forums I've read.
