M_quick! Good to see ya.... I've not been keeping up too close, I've been recording most n watching them at a more convenient time...I've noticed the last cup race didn't record (Phoenix) the thread will comeback.. no worries there....I would say I'm not impressed at all with bubba..seems he's trying to take on the same racing attitude as THE MAN Dale sr....I don't think I'm as opinionated about petty backing bubba at the start... as I was... still think petty made a mistake... so I'll just stop there on him, but he's no longer the king... (I never considered him as such) Dale sr... ruled the track as king... petty was good but Dale was king....king lives on the edge pushing the envelope... n that's just what. Dale did.. sadly cost him his life, but the legacy lives on.

Thx, I never was a D. E. fan. He'd run over his own mutha for a trophy. Dale lost his life blocking, for M. Waltrip running 1st and his son in 2nd while Senior was in 3rd. If he would of raced like usual, the accident wouldn't of happened imo.    Petty is the King, for 200 wins. But back in his era, they ran a whole lot more races per year.

Gotta be lots of good/bad feelings for ya.  How long did you have them?

I thought I replied to this last night? That's why I dont like using a cell phone for forums, w/out tapatalk but hardly anyone uses that app anymore.

Anyways I bought the OG brand new off the show room floor in 2010. And the Reaper Quad in 2005,

  3. Finally decided to sale my original 700xx. This guy also was able to get my Reaper 700xx from copart. It was bitter sweet letting my OG go. Although it was nice to see both of them on the same trailer.

From what I have heard Dale Jr. had numerous concussions and was told another bad one could be very bad news.  So doubtful he's gonna return to racing if thats true......

Dale has raced and will race more, just not full time. From what I've herd he will be at Bristol Xfinity race. .

Something else this will effect.... Is plain out theft.... Right off the bat.... I can recall about 4 members @m_quick being the latest .....had there bikes stolen..there was even a guy from. The old dead forums... Way back.... He was in the military (i don't recall what branch) was out on leave ...... Well time passed he got called back to service  (If i recall this right, or close) .... Had his bike (honda atv utilty model) and! The trailor he hauled it on stolen...... He nor m_quick got there bikes and stuff back......i recon quick is still around, believe he got a nice utlity honda ? After all that mess.... I haven't seen that other fellah seance all that happened....... So we already have problems with theft... I see it getting much worse.

I did get it back from the help of a member on the 700xx forum. I was paid out through insurance, so they came and got it from me. I still have my OG 700xx for now. I bought a 2021 Rzr 900 trail ultimate. It's pretty fun but not like the sport quad, that's for sure. The Ride command software is pretty impressive.

no bud i sure haven't heard about the LA coliseum it sure does sound like a mistake!! and single lug setup like Indy cars ?? nether of  those ideas will bring die hard fans back, thank you for the update @m_quick what the heck is a single lug setup going to do for an advantage ? faster pit times ?AND I WONDER WHAT PERSON CAME UP WITH THAT IDEA ^^^^^^ i have my thoughts on who it might have been, but!!  they still have to Waite for fuel..... on certain stops.... lol.

Well the race is this Sunday! Not sure who came up the ideas on this 7th generation car. And yeah they've all ready talked about fuel time. Seen some stupid video yesterday, about tire changers all leaving pit wall, going around front of car, then all going back around the front to the other side. You know how usually the front guys go around the front and rear guys go around the rear. Not sure if anyone will do this, but i guess it will be aloud. If they do I'd assume they guy that changes the front right, would then go to the left rear? either way the air hose's will be a issue, unless there aloud to use cordless? Video had air hoses.

  7. So then you probably haven't herd about the LA Coliseum? This has got to be one of NASCAR's biggest mistakes, but idk we shall see. Also a lot of changes to the car's this year, the biggest one is probably the single lug nut like F1 cars.

Did you get any paper work from the sheriff besides the  receipt for storage ?  ----- down here I think you would have to get  a salvage title from the insurance company and then go to the State Troopers with the Sheriff release papers to you , and have the Troopers inspect it and them issue a salvage  vin # and stamp it onto the frame , pretty messy situation you got into , guess you could part it out ----you know we want some pictures

no just a half ! receipt from garage.

Sorry if I missed it earlier, but how did they identify it without the VIN in the first place? Is there any policy paperwork showing the VIN. Does your state require wheelers to be titled?

Concerning insurance, by the way you describe the condition, it sounds like they would consider it totaled. Might just tell you to keep it. It's a guess. Do you think the cops would contact them anyway?

A friend seen it listed for sale on market place. When local Sheriff's dept arrived, they said the vin# didn't match sorry. Then they said the parts may be mine but it's not the same quad. He then agreed it had a altered vin# and when I described some info about the quad, that you would have to know, he agreed it was mine and confiscated it.

  11. So I'm not sure what to do or what i should of done. Anyway I was told to come and get my quad! So since I was headed sorta that way for the Bristol race, my uncle and I went after it last Friday. When we get to the Sheriff's dept, no body was there. We waited awhile, got bored and dialed 911! After explaining everything to the dispatcher several times, they advised us that a officer would be there in like 15 mins. When they get there, guy gets out of car, reads me the riot act, asking why we were even there since i had insurance and have probably already been paid. I told him someone told me to come/ he cuts me off and says I never told you to come get that quad! After going back and forth awhile, he told me it was up to the Sheriff's dept in the county that I reported it stolen from to release it. After he calmed down some, he invited us into his office and called the other county. A few calls later he connects, and they told him to go ahead and release it to me! Then I'm told it's 20 some miles away at a private garage. Well when i get there I was surprised with a $400 recovery fee and $120 storage plus 3% visa fee. I flipped out and that got me no where. He agreed to let me look at the quad 1st. I was tempted to leave it there for the $535.60. I already knew about stuff missing, but quad was trashed, hard to believe this guy paid 3K and was trying to sale for $3500. I did pay it, and currently have it store in a cargo container near my family in W. Va.

I'm not sure where this leaves me as far as insurance and the quad. Hoping they will just let me have it for what i paid. But what about the fact that the vin# is illegible and certainly don't match my old #?

i recall the original 700xx you still have, but must have missed or it slipped  my mind you had purchased a razor congrats on the new side by side.

Thanks! and below should be a link to the thread I started, about the Rzr. It's nice and getting nicer with the add ons I'm buying. It has Ride Command, and Rockford Fosgate sound system from the factory, along with stage 2 Fox shocks..

i agree, being it was abused and now smoking, maybe wrecked, with parts removed, i would just let this go, and keep looking for a utilty model, or side by side for the family  and you to enjoy, i agree with fish we now live in some messed up times where crimminals have  more rights then  the upstanding citizen does, been down this road myself with stolen equipment, more then likely has no ownership of a home or car.

I already purchased a 2021 Rzr 900 trail ultimate. And remember I still have the OG 700xx. I've been adding a few dollars to the Rzr in aftermarket parts, and have yet to ride it yet. I'm still not sure if I will adapt to the sxs world vs. being on a sport quad for years. After Bristol weekend i plan to get out and break the belt in on the new Rzr.
