Assist Headlight (High-beam Replace)

Hi. I have a 2016 TRX500FE2 (Foreman). I'm trying to replace the assist bulb. I don't understand how to remove the headlight unit from the handlebars. Alternatively, I want to remove the retaining ring or the headlight itself. I have the cover removed and the bulb unplugged. The retaining ring says open counterclockwise, but I am unable to open it even using a wrench.  Thanks.
