  1. my craftsman LT is the reason I got a four wheeler. kept getting it stuck in my yard. it ripped out a pool, an old playground, and a few shrubs before I retired it to mowing only. then my dad asked me to hang onto his zero turn, so now I have two mowers and rarely use the craftsman.

  2. you folks are keeping busy!

I got my giant pile of 60/40 spread all over the yard. my atv put in a ton of work, and it wouldn’t have been possible had I not had it.

I ended up abandoning my wooden drag I built in favor of loading the cart with cinderblocks and putting it in the dump position. the little trailer is nearly rusted out, but didn’t complain about the 70+ loads of dirt I ran with it. after dragging it purposely across the dirt I figured it would break but I still seem to be stuck with it. i’m impressed.

im glad this backbreaking work is over. 14 yards of dirt is a lot to move with a shovel and a yard trailer.

  3. I tore my dinky little yard trailer apart and cleaned it up. it’s haggard...old...rusty, and a hand me down, but I can’t go buy another knowing this one still rolls around. I did some redneckery on it just to get it prepped and ready to dump some dirt when the dump truck gets here on tuesday. I ran out of projects so I volunteered myself to spread dirt...oh no.

  4. I used mine as a beer holder for a while and a place to put tools as I turned the garage into a hangout. 😂

ended up hanging a tv in there above my cheapo soundbar I already had, so I could watch cleetus mcfarland’s freedom 500 last night.

going to have to take it out for a ride around the neighborhood today. i’ve run out of uses for it during all this downtime

  5. my work has decided to gift me with an unpaid vacation, so I found some time to drag the trailer to the back yard and organize the crepe myrtle trimmings I have. (I fully regret trimming these down before the world shut down......)

the atv does make work a lot easier around the yard, I will say that. the winch comes in handy so often

i was talking about cast iron cook wear, but the old stove's worked much much better than the new ones. the new ones still waste heat. you could cut was down on your electric bill, if the heat wasnt wasted. i miss the old push button electric stoves. but much heat was wasted. some insulation like the tiles on the space shuttle, would save a bunch of heat. the new stoves waste a lot of heat. aint an engineer that can get this past company store. [still got kinks in my spelling].

I was too! my BSR is my favorite skillet. lol

Probably not gonna work for you dearchristpher but I have a heavy metal ring 14" diameter 8" high I have set up on small blocks over problem stumps or bushes that won't die.  Fill ring full of wood have camp fire, rinse repeat every 3 weeks or every weekend for 4 months or so it sterilizes the group with being heated up and the problem bush have not come back.

or I've made the spot part of my atv trail loop and it gets road down every time I start a atv.

Right now in mud season is a great time to turn them trouble spots into dirt tracks! Just have to keep at it. Gives me excuse to ride my close trails at the house all the time.

man I wish. this is in the beds on the front of my house.

I definitely missed most of the root system...i’ll be fighting these for a while. I need to get in there and dig some more.

if your cast iron dont have a name on the bottom. is it just scrap iron?

not necessarily. my birmingham stove and range that is from late 60s is just a ring on bottom with a notch cut out. you might try to ID them with some Google-Fu. worked for me.

Here's my Ruby ready for brush cutting at the hunting shack. Those new Kolpin tool holders work great. Last winter we got a load of power poles to make a bridge up there. I could chain up two 36 footers and haul them two miles through 8" of snow at 18mph.

that’s impressive. I doubt mine will ever see work that hard

  10. This is a thread on another forum i’m on, and it’s always good for conversation.

I ripped out some bushes with the winch on mine today, I sincerely don’t know how i’d do this stuff without it. my little craftsman mower would never be able to do this.

what did you do with yours today?

    this the one you purchased ----> https://www.partzilla.com/product/honda/33700-HP5-601?ref=ab7d55104b6f0463639cfff1300aeae81b5d1b45 ? 2008 trx420ES 4x4 ( A ) model.

I bought from amazon and trusted the “It Fits!” and maybe shouldn’t have. lol

if it causes problems I might order the correct one. it doesn’t look all that bad, but it may end up bugging me. I can’t ignore details like this sometimes

  12. I got the bike out yesterday and rode it for a bit, then swapped out the taillight and the toolbox lid I broke. the taillight was definitely not the correct one but I made it work. still keeps out water and seals, but i may try to source the correct one if it becomes a problem. i hate spending another 20-30 on a taillight. this one is actually brighter than the old, too

Starting in 2014 the Rancher is on the same frame as the Foreman, and the 2012-up Foreman and Rancher motors are the same except for the Foreman having a bigger cylinder, clutches, and higher output stator.

Honda is using more and more of the same parts on different lines to save money.

glad to have chosen what I did then. I like the size of mine a good bit
