Working on.. well, today before 7am i lit a small fire in the wood stove, vacuumed (again) the oil furnace air filter section before putting it back together then turned the oil tank on & plugged it in. Came on right away. Then later got the toilet (been here since 1967) unclogged thank God... & got the 2 snowmobiles i have here going, since last March.
& its not even 2pm yet! Frigging winter! 😒

46 minutes ago, PROV said:A friend of mine has the EGO electric chainsaw. I used it for several hours at his hunting shack. Weighs about the same as my Stihl. 16" bar. Cut well. I will stick with my Stihl but that saw worked very well. Mostly handy I would think where you are clearing a trail or shooting lane when you are walking or wheeling and use it intermittently. Then you're not leaving it run or starting it constantly.
Yea buddy of mine has one. He would carry a spare battery. No noise (which is weird) & I suppose would be good if you were cutting some small wood in the basement & dont want the fumes! 😮

Oh yea theyre all mud corroded...guess they are known for wearing out fast lol. Wonder why! Greased them & put them back together till he gets the parts.

Machine wise(not including the toilet), today i gave my bud a hand removing the rear bushing shafts to check inspect on his Brute Force, no grease from the factory so they all need replacing -_- 😑
Then took the Rincon all apart to check the valve clearance as the machine is still kinda unfamiliar to me maint/wise. I think i did them 2 years ago when i got it, they were all in spec, so i left them alone. 😆

Dont listen to that Shadetree guy he is anti ES 😜
I had the same 06 for about 7 years, & a buddy of mine kept his 05 here as well, no issues with mine, but his had a similar shifting issue, the shift motor brushes were worn out, & the connectors under the front plastics were dirty. Before you start swapping all the sensors (which is could still be the prob) if you can, pull the shift motor & inspect it. There is also a "Speed Learn" diagnostic in the manual that was shared to relearn how the ECU see's the speed/gears.

What are you buying for? Work? Play? Cruise? I would pick the 79 cause its the last year of that body style, & the next one kinda goes on till around 96. Lots of them around (80s style) vs the 70s, unless theres lots where you are.

Oh? My mistake, i thought that was a flywheel & pick up coil there. I was thinking how far either in or out beyond the coil the wheel was would help in determining where it should be.
-
Need a Honda original pic of that all together to see where the flywheel sits in regards to the pick up coil 😮🤫

Funny, my brother got a brand new 85 (750 here) left over Magna in 86. Havent seen one since. No Reagan restrictions here 😛
Thats the problem with anything now in the 80s or older, they are so old that anything hydraulic is likely rotten or full of old oil. The rubber piston cups on either end a lot of times rot out. This case (no pun intended 😛 ) had several issues. That rivet part, i wouldnt have predicted that. 😮 -
4 hours ago, Fishfiles said:This one has some wicked sentimental valve to it , LOL , it was the one that my ex-wife stuck in my face , loaded with one in the chamber and tried to pull the trigger about 6 times , but the safety was on , this one is my friend , LOL
Since today is my birthday , might have to unload this one , wish I had a picture of my ex for a target , but I have since burned every pic of her , LOL
I think about how much better my life might have been if I wouldn't have married my ex , but then think that all the trials and tribulations may have made me a better person , this gun is a reminder to that
Good times in the south!
Pretty sure if it was me after that she would regret it big time.

Start there with the key on & wiggle those wires connected to that harness. Watch the dash.
