Maybe the bearing missed quality control and came out the factory assembled wrong ???
Was that OEM or aftermarket ?
No idea mate. It was a genuine bearing i got from honda last year in a packet.just assembled wrong i guess. Happy i found it but. I bought it nearly 12 months from a dealer an hour away

lol jk
no I couldn’t tell what you mean. Better pic, maybe point out which you mean?
When the rollers i guess you would call them arnt round so they lock up 1 way spin the other. When you take the spring off they can all come out 1 of them was around the wrong way making it so the bearing was locking up both ways

Haha yea i only took a pic after i turned it around. It was a pain in the ! to work out though

Bit of an odd 1
I was repacing the 1 way bearing today n my rancher, i had to knock them together which i thought was odd and the 2 halves locked up. I suspected this was wrong but put it all back together, started it, put it in gear and you guess it locked up.
Took it all back apart which is a pain getting the front shaft off. Took got the bearing out. Spent a long time looking at it and measuring and finally worked out that 1 of the lobes of the bearing was fitted backwards. I only noticed because of the little lines on them 1 didnt match. This was a genuine honda bearing. Once i flipped it around all is good.
Anyone else come across this ?

I just looked up snake bites here roughly 3000 bites a year but average of 2 deaths per year. Most aussie snakes have tiny fangs. Funnel webs live in holes (or your shoes) haha. We have those stone fish but we also have fresh water stone fish called bullrouts with spines on their back they chill out in rapids and will drop you like a sack of ! if you step on 1 very intense pain.

2 hours ago, Fishfiles said:Yes thats what i was assuming. As all the genuine pics of that part online show the 3 pictures. It was just the part guy from honda said it was only the single part. Probably only going off what he could see in the diagram. Part should arrive today. Nothing comes over night in australia even when you pay express post 😑 and the state it came from just came out of its 5th Lockdown last night

45 minutes ago, shadetree said:partzilla sells each part seperate..same as if you walked into a dealership, no oem carb parts come in a kit, but if you purchased a shindy carb rebuild kit from say..ebay ?, then you would get the complete carb rebuild kit, just will not get the choke parts. honda does not sell a full carb rebuild kit..you have to buy each single part seperate !...lol.
Mate your not understanding what im saying ill just leave it at that

12 minutes ago, shadetree said:honda does not sell carb parts as a kit, you have to purchase each carb part seperate. online kits from shindy..all come as a complete kit, you do not get the choke parts though...just the main carb parts.
Im talking about this part/parts
Or have partzilla put the 3 components together or do they just show the 3 for the ! of it?

6 minutes ago, Goober said:Okay OEM is the best way but Honda doesn’t sell complete carb kits. Makes it a PITA. Needle jet kit should contain the jet, the needle, the washer and the clip.
16012-HN5-M41 Is part for the 04 TRX350
do a fleabay search on the part number
I mean ive ordered it from honda, im assuming because the part diagram only shows the needle jet he thinks thats all there is
-
So ive got my part ordered its $70 though , guy at honda reckons it dosnt include the needle but all the ones online come as a set with the needle and the little washer . Will be 2 days even paying express
-
When i get this part is it easy to work out what way it goes in ect? Hopefully i can get 1 quick. Im not sure if mine got blasted across the floor or if it was gone before

Are roos any good to eat ?
Roo goes ok. You can buy it in the supermarket. Its all wild shot as no farming of them. Deer we can spotlight on private property in my state and no seasons or bag limits tags ect. As they are all introduced they are basically classed as pests. But shooting any of our natives is not allowed unless you have mitigation permit.. it wont be long till they start baiting deer with 1080 here they already do chopper culls in the national parks but won't let hunters in to shoot.

12 minutes ago, Fishfiles said:Hand held spot light , sounds like you'll maybe hog hunting at night ? ------ run a second battery and make that hand held an LED bulb light if you feel it won't keep up
Ive just bought myself a 12inch 60w bar that can mount on the front rack instead.
Yes i have a 100w handheld spot light for hunting at night fingers crossed pigs. But foxes, rabbits, hares and roos are usually on the list
-
I was talking to my mate about them he said they were ok short distance but lacked on the long distance. Is there any other globe available for the 350 for better light. Maybe i should just fit a light bar to the front rack. Aslong as the stator can keep up with a light bar and a hand held spot light

Ive put the old float valve back in no change. Would having the oring off the choke do this? It was fine before hand. The float valve slides into the float before fitting correct?

19 hours ago, shadetree said:pull the transfer gear cover at front of engine, clean out all old grease, put some fresh grease back in, see if that helps ?. DO NOT PULL THE ELE MOTOR APART OR OUT !..LOL.
I pulled mine apart and made new brushes haha they are an absolute pain to put back togther.
