paddyc 0 Posted January 22 Hi all, I have an early model Honda Foreman 400. Could be '97 model. I've only purchased it and discovered the battery wasn't holding charge. I fitted a new battery and after 1 day, it was drained flat. Ignition was switched off and all lights, fan etc were off. Would this be a problem with the rectifier regulator or any other common know faults? The speedometer also doesn't work, hours, miles, speed, nothing works. Any suggestions? jeepwm69 7,619 Posted January 22 Most likely regulator. First thing I'd do is unplug it, then charge your battery. If your battery is drained again the next day, replace the regulator. If it is your regulator, do not use aftermarket replacements. OEM only, even if you buy used. Powersportsnation normally has them, and they stand behind their used parts, so if that's what your problem is, I'd check there first for a replacement.
