Derick72 0 Posted July 29 @AKATV do you think you could repair? Hard to tell in the picture but it seems like one of the films has just absolutely failed and crinkled up. I think I can still somewhat make out a number looking closely at it.

KentV 0 Posted August 20 Just joined this forum. I have a 2004 Rancher TRX350FE- bought it used a few months ago and have been learning how to work on it. The display was working fine when I got it, the screen was scratched but fairly clear initially. Recently, it's gotten a ton worse and now display has big blacked out spot in the middle. I took it apart and noticed the gasket was loose and there was some moisture inside so presumably that moisture is what caused this. Been hunting for replacement part and came across this forum. @AKATV Is this fixable and if not, does anyone know where to find a replacement part for the display? AKATV 851 Posted August 20 Welcome to the forum It looks like some really bad UV/sun damage to your polarization films. It could possibly be internal LCD damage, kind of hard to tell until I get my hands on it. I’m sure we can get it sorted out and repaired for you I will send my direct contact information to your message box as well -AKATV

MrG338 0 Posted Friday at 11:57 PM I am new to this forum. I have the same question as others: Is there an aftermarket alternative to discontinued meter displays? Based on the responses in this query: This message is to @ AKATV. I am working on a 2005 Honda Rancher 400 AT (TRX400FAA in 4x4 non-GPS configuration; screen display P/N 37200-HN7-003). My meter display was half full of water (broken lens; original owner thinks it spent about 6+ months that way) and I drained it, then let it dry in the sun for 3 days. Inside the meter, I did find several electronic components that had corroded off...see photo) I repaired the large crack in the lens using silicone sealant. Some of the ATV's electrical issues were resolved with this (mainly, motor would not turn "off" when ignition key was turned to "off"). However, the instrument display itself does not work. The backlight can be seen when the headlights are turned "on", so it is getting power. Still a few electrical issues (neutral light stays on when shifting into any gear) and I have already determined that the neutral switch indicator and slide shaft system are working correctly. Neutral light does get dimmer when shifting into "drive" or "reverse." Do you think this is something that AKATV can repair? Please provide contact info. Thank you. AKATV 851 Posted Saturday at 07:40 PM (edited) Welcome to the forum There really is no alternate meter solution for the rancher 400AT it is pretty much a one of a kind Unfortunately, extreme water damage like this is not repairable and the circuit card assembly must be replaced Do you have any pictures of the assembly with the top cover removed? What shape is the internal LCD in?, Its hard to tell with the cover on I will send my contact information to your message box as well -AKATV Edited Saturday at 07:45 PM by AKATV
