Light Bar Quit. I HATE Wiring!

Recommended Posts

So last time I went out I noticed the light bar wouldn't work. Just figured it was the switch. Today I verified the light bar works off a battery & that the switch will work off a battery on & off.. So... now I have to trace the wires from the switch to the light bar... I really hate wiring... I know its simple per say.. power & ground.. but darn when it doesn't work, what a pain.....

I also noticed that the battery wouldn't turn quad over either.. I verified that its charging once running12.84 & 12v not running... so I wonder if it's the same issue or weather I need a starter solenoid as well.....

It might be the same issue depending on the minimum voltage power supply requirement for the light bar. If the LED driver board is designed to shut the light circuit down (many of the higher quality ones are) when supply voltage drops below a preset threshold, the light bar won't light up until the voltage comes back up. It's a failsafe feature built in to the driver generally.
