Amann 0 Posted April 18 Just bought a Honda 420 FM 2012 took it for a drive and it’s cut out gears are flashing - - , it’s lost spark and fuel pump doesn’t engage when trying to start it it had a new ECU before I bought it any ideas please? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
jeepwm69 7,233 Posted April 18 Welcome aboard. You won't get spark/won't run if there isn't a gear showing on the display. Is the blinking -- flashing a particular patter? Try counting the blinks/pauses. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
jeepwm69 7,233 Posted April 18 Doesn't appear to be a pattern there. Go to the service manuals link at the top of the page, and download the factory service manual. Page 6-6 has the troubleshooting info, looks like it points to a bad connection to the ECU, which you say was just replaced. I'd start by unplugging and replugging in the computer a few times, to see if you might just have a poor connection on one of the pins. Check the wiring back there for rodent damage as well.
