2007 Honda Rancher TRX400FA Stripped threads on Engine

Recommended Posts

Needing some help figuring out if there are any thread inserts I can throw in to avoid getting a new head. I'm kinda ignorant and don't have tools to determine what inserts I need if feasible.
Inserts I need would be for 13, 12, and 10.
Here is a website if you need any more information on parts and such.

Have you tried removing the snapped off bolts?  All three of those appear to be 6mm.  If you do have to drill them out helicoils will work

you will need 6mm helicoils, or timecerts. helicoils are easier. just drill the holes out to the right size going by the instructions on the package, use the tool provided in the package, twist them down into the head threads, walla, done.

Shadetree is correct. Bolts are not broken, just damaged threads. I think all these are the same pitch. So something like this? M6x1.0
