5 hours ago, Fishfiles said:I remember when was a kid our neighbor Mr Bugs had a Indian motorcycle that had a suicide shift and I can see him in my mind pulling that handle with one hand on the handle bars and now that I think about it , the clutch lever must have been on the right side , cause he shifted with his left hand
The clutch would have been on the left along with the shifter, they called them suicide shifters cause you had to take your one hand off the throttle and your eyes off the road to see the shifter, shift gears, and grab the throttle without running into anything and keeping the bike upright.....lol

We get down to -30C and colder here, last year was a cold winter.

Well this year I'm going to finally add the 3rd stove in the farm house, when it gets down to -30C 2 stoves don't cut it in this old shack...
I already burn about 10 cord a year now, better get 15 for next year.

I priced mine for the kq at the local dealer and they told me they were $127.00 each. But I managed to cross reference the same part to a suzuki swift and a geo tracker, same part on both but the car part was 15 bucks...lol

My friend had a few old bsa's 30 years ago, I'd bet they are still sitting in the barn at his parents. Along with a few cars and 2 old Willies. I had a hard time riding the bsa around the yard cause all our othe bikes and trikes were left.

I'd toss em out too, I can get new ones for 10-15 bucks a piece for my old king quad.

Thats a nice classic. Those old triumphs were right foot shift back the weren't they...

I'm just runnin a beefed up home made one, bought the blade, made the rest myself. It looks like you might need to just beef up your mount. Maybe weld some angle iron on the flatbar braces... and it looks like a weld failed from the pic..

I would love to go see all that, maybe someday.

It's not a regular style fuse, it's in a grey casing all by itself, under the seat by the battery.
-
Have you replaced the 40 amp ps fuse in by the battery?
