Should I replace my02 with 2023 Rubicon?
TBRider replied to BC-Buck's topic in General ATV Discussion
It can get a bit light in the front end when climbing snowbanks loaded I've found. But I can travel faster on rough ground. Counter weight on the front rack helps. Power steering is great that way. But any quad I've had or have are tippy when loaded climbing stuff. But weight on a bit of a slope I don't find bad. Neighbor has a 2000 350 es and he loves running around on mine. -

My 17 rides nicer with 200lbs on the back rack. Mine is a foot shift though. Got close to 10K on it now. 600+ hours. -
I thought it was radiant heat. That's why it's cooler in the shade on a hot sunny day....lol

Nice old guy bike
-
You need a shade 14 with a welding shield glass. I'm trying to setup my shop camera so my daughter can watch it from the west coast.
-
Yea, I still have windshields on the bikes. Still got a foot of snow or so on the ground also.

My house will be in the shadow tomorrow. I'm almost in the middle of total coverage, so it should be dark here for about 4 min plus. Is your house in the path?
-
It's been snowing here since Thursday afternoon. I'm done with winter...lol

The diodes probably power the hour meter
-
Is the cable moving when the wheels are? Check cable ends and if it turns properly with both ends unplugged. Then check if the sender spins in the engine.
-
That should be all mechanical. The burnt diodes are probably for a voltage drop for a 5V back light. You could probably wire an LED strip to light it up with.

Amazon part is wrong. Replace with a honda temp sensor. Not a cheap Chinese one.

Anyone had experience of the TRX520FA6/7 ?
TBRider replied to SparkyMark's topic in General ATV Discussion
I have a 2017 TRX500FM6, I load about 250 lbs of wood on my back rack and the ride gets unbelievably smooth, without the extra weight it's rough as schitt, over 6300kms and around 600 hrs, nothing broke yet. I refused to look at the automatic or e shift, I have the foot shift. -
What about pneumatic motion

I just have the roller fairlead, my steel rope goes on for the summer. One belt usually lasts me the winter. Then I just toss it.
-
I just use a seatbelt off a wrecked car for the cable in the winter when using my plow. Cheap to replace also, junk yard gives them for free.

Did he get the codes read?
-
Get a cheap harbor freight code reader and see what it says, the check engine light is on, sounds like a tranny whine to me.

I had one of those in high-school

He posted there as a mod for one day and then disappeared
