  1. I've loaded a trailer full of wet wood and almost had the front tires lift, I was about 3x the recommended limits on weight
  2. Got another project on the bench, I should have taken some before pics but I just went to it...lol It's a 1978 Husqvarna 162se. I've had it for a few years now and finally decided I needed a bigger saw here, going to put either a 20" or 24" bar on it.
  3. If your shop has a decent pressure washer, you can build a wash cabinet for cheap and se the pw for the spray action, you just have to filter the bottom water and recover it. It's nice with the big hot water units, but the hw set-up needs a water cool down tank so you dont cook the pump.
  4. Got another load of wood, I've got over 5 chord cut waiting to be split, and then 15 chord to cut and split, glad I got the grinder for sharpening the chains.
  5. I have the cheapo China junk grinder from princess auto/ harbor freight, it works awesome, after filing down the rakers I use the grinder, no more filing for me.
  6. I saw the same thing before in Alberta, different companies and the land owners had their own locks. Sad part was that most of the companies used common locks, I could unlock alot of them with my old key ring.
  7. 1 13/16, I have the wrench, couldn't remember if it was 5/8 or 13/16.
  8. Probably has a cheap China shift motor if this is his 3rd replacement
  9. @Mac102004 What do you think about the missing chunk off the front push bar? Looks like they beefed up the vertical bars tho...
  10. Mine came like that also, FS with EPS, I like it for some of the rough bush riding I do, especially with the diff lock on.
  11. Nice new ride Mac, my 17 is going to need its rear diff rebuilt soon also, trying to prolong it
  12. I can go back and clean up, pick up all that I want, I already grabbed most of the yellow birch that was there already.
  13. Took a ride back and got some pictures, he stopped cutting because he ended up with twice the amount of wood he was expecting.
  14. My shop has lifting points in the ceiling to hoist my quads up, I can lift the front with its own winch and lift the back with a come-along or a snatch block and the winch from the other quad.
  15. Here's the new harvester, and the porter just brought in on Friday night, weekend off so I can get some pics of them parked.
  16. The pictures of the logging here in the late 1850's are amazing, a mile wide river full of wood going to the mills on the river.
  17. Went and brought in 4 trailer loads today to pile in the basement when it rains over the next few days, barely put a dent in the pile.Measured and counted the pallets today, they are a 4'x4' pallet and it's 9 pallets long at 6ft high, 2 rows each pallet. I'll be warm this winter even if the power goes out...
  18. I think he is just going to leave it, the stuff cut 5 years ago is at the 10 ft mark now. They grow back fast here.
