    @Big Bird

So what is the model and CC of your bike , looks like a twin cylinder  ?

You got a name or link to them wheel chocks ---- I was thinking of building something , but that looks just what I need

Wheel chocks were made by Maxxhaul 70075 I picked up 2 sets. $124.00 Canadian to my door.

Bike is 2003 XR400R. Single cyl 400CC with 2 exhaust outlets. 2 into 1 exhaust.

I picked this up from Curt. All my trailers have a 2" ball. Needed something to move the trailers around if necessary at the cottage.
It has a plate under it to make it solid and not swivel. Pouring rain here. I will install it in the next couple days and test the receivers I have here on it.

I know this is like saying buy a Yamaha on this site but... I am not a fan of ITP Mudlites

    That being said...

We run mostly hard packed surfaces, woods and fields here so don't have a need for a mud tire.

Lots of stobs here though (small tree stumps less than an inch in diameter)

Is stob a word for anyone else? Might not be using that right lol

My favorite tire is WANDA brand (rip-off but decent ones) 6 ply and decent.

The distributor is Libra Trailer Parts... amazing customer service and the price can not be beat.

These tires compare to the Maxxis Bighorn tread pattern and are my current go-to utility tire.

There are different sizes available... just linked these as an example.

Here is a pic of the set on my buddies 05 Foreman

    Thinking of these tire myself.

You won't get spark if it can't tell what gear it's in.  For example, my 09 sometimes doesn't read 3rd gear.  I'm guessing it's a bad connection in the plug from the gear position switch, but for whatever reason when I shift from 2nd to 3rd, the 2 reads on the display, then it's just blank when I'm in 3rd.  It runs fine, but if you attempt to start it in 3rd with the blank display where the gear shows, you will not get spark.

OK. Thanks. I will keep an eye on the indicator. I think it was blank but not 100%.

It has not done it since I flushed out the tank and drained the carb. Might of been some water in the carb...

  6. Only happened a couple times but it would not start. Turns over fine. Like it is out of fuel. After a couple attempts it fires up. Both times engine was cold. Also a couple times shift indicator was not lite up. No lashing lights (codes).

While cleaning it up and changing fluids. (Drained all old gas and drained carb) Noticed it has what looks like a aftermarket TPS. Flathead screws. I also had the shift motor out and cleaned all the old grease and put new grease in. Issue was doing it before I worked on it.

Is it worth just putting in a TPS and shift angle sensor OEM for good measure?

  7. Been busy with the house etc. Pic is not my house. It is where I got it from.

The Foreman needs a  oil change. I have all the stuff. OEM. Going to give it a once over and 'hope' I have time this weekend to clean and replace the grease in the ES shifter.

Hoping to put the winch on also and wire it up. I have the mount and winch. Cheap winch.

1 tire has a plug that leaks a bit.

  8. I got out a couple times this year on weekend day trips. Slammed a rock at slow speed and bent up some stuff just before the 4 day tour.

I did a 4 day tour with my brother and 2 others. We did 1000KM on those 4 days. First day was !. Rain and freezing rain. As we headed farther north the next 3 days were good overall. 1 morning it was -30C/-22F.

Brother blew a belt. My 1 finger got cold and got a bit weird. Felt like the end was dipped in wax. Not much feeling in it. Then it started to peel. LOL. Not frost bite but close.

    Great times .

Nice !!!!  ----  Did you have to change an orifice or jet to make that switch from propane to NG ???

No. You can buy the NG or propane model as far as the BBQ. As I knew I was going to have NG out back I just bought the NG model.

My firetable is propane. I have to buy the NG line still. It comes with a NG orifice to switch that over.
