2 hours ago, DuckOfDeath said:I'm into OEM too Shade, believe me. I had to brake down and get some Maier side panels for the blue 87 I'm finishing up. Not happy about it, adn I'll still continue to try and get OEM ones when I can, but sometimes I'll accept whats's available for these old rigs. OEM decals just aren't out there anymore, and I like my bikes to at least look as original as possible.
How do the Maier side panels work with the original fenders?

I have a extra blue left side cover that I can trade.

I have a blue 1988 Foreman 350d. Looking for the hard to find right side cover. Will take a red one if I can get it.
Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I sprayed around the intake and didn't see anything. Supposedly the fuel pump was replaced with an Oem but who knows. I have a new fuel relay laying around if I need it. I'll keep digging into it.
Thanks

So guys I purchased a 1988 Foreman 350d. Initially it was running very rich and you had to stay on the throttle to keep it running. The engine would slightly rev up and down on it's own. So I dug into it the other night. Keep in mind I am a rookie when it comes to working on these machines. I took the carb off and took it apart. I gave it a good cleaning and ran it through the ultrasonic cleaner a few times. I looked through all the jets and they were open. So I put it back together and set my pilot screw 2 1/2 turns out. I got it back on the quad and it fired right up. I let it run for 40 min or so and it runs like it should other than the revving up and down on it's own. Any clue on what could be causing the engine to rev? I did go through the throttle cable and found no issues.

I'll get some if I end up getting it.

Well I sold my Kymco because I think an atv suits my needs better at the moment. The smaller footprint just works better on my property. I found a guy that has a Foreman 350. He says it is an 86 but appears to be a 1987-1989. Front what I can see in the pics it needs a new seat, needle in a haystack side cover, and a left front mud flap. The front and rear fender look solid from what I can tell and it comes with a plow. He sent me a video of it running. It sounds great but it supposedly will shut off after 5 minutes. He says it needs a fuel filter and the brakes bled but we all know it will probably need more. I will keep you guys posted.

The 400ex and the Xr 400 shared the same engine platform. About as proven as you can get.

The 300ex and 400ex are two of the best trail riding quads ever. Don't let anyone tell you that a 300 class machine is a beginner quad. Your going to have to get a later 400ex if you want reverse.

I think it is an older Mtd or Yard Machines. I'll get some better pics of it this weekend.

We all have those kind of days man. I always thought the 86 fenders were slightly different than the 87-89.

As promised here are some pics of my saws. Top to bottom. 044, 028 Super Av, 009L, and Homelite Super 2. I just bought the 028. It has a 18 inch bar on it now and boy does it cut. I can see why it is so popular. I bought a 16inch bar for it. I think I would have been better off getting another 18 inch chain instead.

Thanks for posting the video Wilson. My machine is only 22 ton. It will usually split anything. The speed is my issue. I'm sure this would help me. But I would have to take it on and off.

Do you use a 4-way wedge Wilson? If so how do you like it?

Any of you guys run the Harbor Freight sharpener? The reviews seems to be positive on it.

Guys I will do some trading on any of the above. I am into vintage tools, knives, chainsaws, etc. Don't be afraid to shoot me some offers.

What tires did you end up going with? I am looking to replace a set of originals. I am debating on taking it up to 25".
