  1. Would it not be possible to use another spring with the same dimensions? Already found one online that is pretty identical. @shadetreeWhat happened was the bearing fell out, the spring broke and all the little spragg bearings went everywhere lol. Luckily I managed to find them again some how.
  2. So, just went to pick up the centrifugal clutch and it all fell apart ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ... Just wondering if someone could help me with this spring? Am I right in thinking it goes round the one way clutch? The spring looks pretty out of shape though? Any help would be amazing. Cheers:)
  3. So got the big nut torqued up to 110nm as the manual says. Had to tighten up the springs with some washers on the bolts so that the basket would hold still. Seemed to work. Should I re-stake the nut as well?
  4. Thanks guys. Think I might try retros method with the leather glove. Thanks:)
  5. How do you go about getting the torque on these clutch nuts? Do you just whizz em up with the impact driver? Or jam the gears up and use a torque wrench? Thanks
  6. Oh sweet! I do love seeing your builds and how they turn out ๐Ÿ˜. Hopefully I'll get another 350D one day and get her REAL smart lol.
  7. Ah okay. Just wanted to check. Thanks man
  8. Am I missing something here? Why does this hole have a thread in it but it's only the relief valve from the oil pump up against it? Have I missed something?
  9. Thanks guys. That's helped me out a lot. I think I'll just put some blue thread lock on the bolts it says in the manual. Will there be an issue with temperature? Thanks
  10. Hi guys. Just been looking at some thread lock and there seems to be A LOT of different types. Do I need a specific type to use in bottom of the engine? How strong does it need to be and does it need to be heat resistant? Thanks
  11. That's good to hear ๐Ÿ‘thanks
  12. Hi all. Just a quick question. When I shake the change clutch a few of the springs rattle. Is this bad or perfectly normal? The clutch discs all seem in good order with a thickness of around 2.52mm (service limit is 2.3mm). Thanks guys, hope everyone is well.
  13. Do these bolts have a specific torque rating? Can't find anything in the manual about it? It does say a locking agent should be applied to the bolts though. However, don't have any locktight or anything. Do I need to get some or will it be alright without it?
  14. Awesome, thanks shade. Fixed it ๐Ÿ™‚
  15. Are these washers on the first idle gear in the right places? Can't quite see on the manual. Thanks
  16. Thanks everyone! Means a lot coming from the pros. Couldn't have done it without the help (well I might of but it would have been a whole lot messier lol). Had to order some more starter fluid yesterday for the side covers, used mine all up lol. Thanks again peeps ๐Ÿ™‚
  17. Thanks man. Yeah I'm pretty happy with it ๐Ÿ™‚
  18. Finished cleaning out the cases today and removing the old gaskets. Then I put everything back in and put the two cases together, not bolted in yet though. Next up is to clean out the side covers. Getting close to being done now ๐Ÿ™‚
  19. Thanks that's great. Would some epoxy resin do the job just as good as jb weld at repairing the case? Hahah that's funny. I do like plan things Lol ๐Ÿ™‚
  20. Before and after. What do you think?
  21. So I've cleaned this gasket surface up best I could with a razor blade and It feels smooth to the touch. Does it look good enough to you guys? Or does it need to be completely shiny? Also, I've found a spot just above the fly wheel where it looks like someone has used a screwdriver to get the cover off. Will this be a problem? It's at the top so shouldn't leak oil right? Thanks
  22. Yeah that's what I'll do. Just haven't seen many so far lol. Thanks
  23. I bought this gasket kit with what looks like everything I need. It's got a load of o-rings with it as well. Any idea where they all go and what I should be replacing? Thanks
  24. Thanks man that's actually really helpful.
  25. Here's some before and after pics from yesterday when I cleaned it out. Still need to get those gears out...
