Ok, loath to tell this story but peer pressure...
Fellow mechanic and friend were installing a cargo door it the aft pit of a 737. Once it's set in place by mechanics from the outside you latch it with the roller cams then us two on the inside hook up the hinges and adjust the shims. About an hour process and you're trapped in there until you get it done.
So soon as the door was locked in and the outside mechanics left, I let one loose. My buddy got wicked !. He tried to crawl away to other parts of the compartment to no avail. !, cursing, and moaning at me the whole time.
We got the job done in 30 minutes

15 hours ago, LedFTed said:WELL; i really dont have a picture to post, so ya will have to picture this in your mind.
when i was younger, teens, maybe early 20s, my mom would get on my case about something, that wasn't my fault. there was a dog, [Joe Bean Hill], that liked to sleep in my moms room.
so,, when she did, i would sneak the dog pieces of Slim Jim's.
the next day, she'd say, i dont know what was wrong with that dog last night, but he farted all night..
it was hard for me to keep a straight face.
fond memories

Jealous. Had an unusual long cold winter might take another 2 or 3 weeks for the ice to melt. Usually out on the trails by now.

Yikes Fish! Learn how to tie a bowline. You'll never get that knot undone

I use the ratchet strap method but it takes a bit to set it up right. Like the hammer idea. I could tell my kids it's a game and whoever pops it first gets a prize

Which is why I'm a fuel injection fan 😆
Like fish says, make sure the orifice the plunger rides in is smooth and clean. Especially where the need goes in. The plunger too. I used to coat them with a little moly grease on my old Kingquads. I've found them stuck and corroded. Does the spring seat it completely?

Sorry if I missed it earlier, but how did they identify it without the VIN in the first place? Is there any policy paperwork showing the VIN. Does your state require wheelers to be titled?
Concerning insurance, by the way you describe the condition, it sounds like they would consider it totaled. Might just tell you to keep it. It's a guess. Do you think the cops would contact them anyway?

FS1 on live chat told me PN YL3F-12A650-AUC it is an alternate part.
The keys were programed by a locksmith. They work, start the engine, and it is driveable. However, new problems, the PATS theft light blinks all the time and sometimes the digital odometer goes blank.
The original problem I had was the engine was running to rich, the auto-transmission would not shift into higher gears, and the speedometer was reading very low. The PCM fixed the fuel scheduling and feel good about that. I still have the tranny and speedo problems though.
I haven't run codes yet. Getting the scanner back this evening. -
Got the PCM today and installed. Had a pushed and bent pin it 😠 and the PN on it is different than the one I was supposed to get. Will contact the seller about that in the morning. Straightened the pin and pulled back out. Hopefully all ok. Locksmith to arrive tomorrow to code the keys. Can't do anything with it until that happens.

Dabbled in ice fishing a few times. Hand crank ice auger is no fun. Then my boys started riding (breaking) wheelers, so that sucked up all my winter free time 😄

Well done. How much you selling for?

My wife bought a 2009 RZR 800. Been nothing but problems. Worst of which thus far is a busted cam shaft. Think I got all the quirks addressed but will see this riding season.
I understand the newer models are more reliable. Hope it works out for you.

Your boy sounds like a pretty good wrench. What will you rent him out for next time I need to pull my Ruby engine? 😆
Seriously, putting wrench time in will make him think twice about being reckless with it.

I think that shaft metal is pretty hard and would be tough to drill into for tapping. If you squeeze it, try doing with your hose clamp to compress all around.

Assuming I have your model right, not a bad price on Cheap Cycle. 2014 Honda TRX420FM1 2AC REAR FINAL GEAR | Cheap Cycle Parts
Looks like the cover is an interference fit on to the shaft. Probably heat it and shove it on to shrink fit. You'd think a spot weld would be better. Interesting that its part of the shaft assembly and can't be bought separately
