lol! oh lord.... don't even get me started on this..... anyways i sure hope they nailed that guy.... really ?? shooting in a skid loader bucket COME ON.... I've heard of some crazy things .... but this takes the cake ..... at least tell me he was a couple hundred yards off  using a 22 ??

I meant to edit the post to clarify "bobcat bucket" as in, yes a skid loader attachable bucket. There was some equipment sitting in the woods for loggers and they had put in a culvert at one point and left it sit over the weekend. These jokers were NOT a few hundred yards out, more like 40 (if that) and by the sound of that gun it was at least a 30-30. Unnerving. Dumbest ! thing I'd seen in a good long while.

yeah, didn't really hurt till I trimmed it down to the bone sliver, then had to pull the chunk of bone out with a hemostat cause I couldn't stand the pain any more, once the bone was gone the pain was gone. Just no feeling in the tip anymore, hard to navigate the keyboard now LOL

    Thanks for sharing... stubby!

Glad to hear you recovered. Worked with a guy who had done something similar with a chainsaw but instead of losing just the tip of his ring finger his hand got infected cause he was to tough to go to the Dr.  Well he ended up losing half his hand, just has a thumb and a point finger to pick his nose with now.

lol! yeah.... i wouldn't try it with anything other then a semi with a rig and drop deck.... if his insurance company saw that, i bet he's all closed down, not even a wide load sign.......

You see what that Silverado in Canada was pulling? More impressive (?) Was how it was attached.. or should I say how in the world that pin could survive acceleration and braking. BUT at least a chain was used. Safety first!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but those appear to be the overall dimensions. I'm just looking for the distance from the the top of the battery compartment down

  7. So does anyone in the house have either the Eotech EXPS3-2 or EXPS2-2? If so can someone provide a measurement? Looking for the distance between top of the rail to the top of battery compartment (see picture for better clarification!).

I can't find any info of it anywhere!

maybe this should be posted in no stupid people beyond this point.... talk about lucky...

We have several "hill billy" ranges here in the Black Hills where they dump all kinds of things to shoot up. The worst I'd seen was these guys shooting into a bobcat bucket.. and laughing at the ricochet sounds. I got out of dodge real quick and made a few calls to the forest ranger when I got cell service.

I wonder if he kept that hat as a reminder. The video had me uncomfortable from the moment I played it. Just mind numbingly.. stupid.

  10. our 4th celebration is being held tomorrow night, of course it kicks of with the President and our Governor at Mt Rushmore. I have no ambition what so ever to go.. I was there today for their medical preparations and with all the people and traffic you wouldn't guess there is a pandemic going on. I got out of Dodge as quickly as I could I'm just going to enjoy the 4th the best way I can. Going camping (not at a campsite thank you very much), take the ATV's out and maybe to to the range and chew up some extra ammo. That could be our fireworks.

    Happy Independence Day

It isn't too often there is a follow up on a thread like this  , Jerrod got his stolen 4 wheeler back , story goes like this , Mississippi Sheriff lights a guy up that was riding a 4 wheeler on the street , the guy jumps off the bike , takes the key and runs , they set up a perimeter around the area and get him , find out the bike was stolen from Braitewaite , La. , go to his house and he has stolen trucks , he was on 5 years probation for stealing 4 wheelers , the bike had 40.04 hours on it when it was recovered , had less than 1 hour when stolen , they figure the guy followed him from the dealer  in Mississippi the day he bought the 4 wheeler

Great news! Not very often at all you see a recovery..

Though shipping containers provide great weather and 4 legged rodent protection, the original padlock locking mechanism is crap, 2 legged rodents can break in with a cold chisel or cordless angle grinder in seconds.  Add on a welded protected locking mechanism, keep honest people honest, the others make them work harder being a thief than having a honest job.

Here's the lock on ours. I've had enough stolen to know if someone wants something bad enough they will get it, I just hope to slow them down enough for the cameras, myself or the neighbors see and hear them. Of course I have an obvious lock on the door for a distraction and one tucked in under this cover. New camera system has motion detection so if someone even walks in my yard I get a notification.

This belonged to my great grandfather.  He passed it down to my great uncle (my grandmother's brother).   My great uncle recently passed it to me.  .32 rimfire Remington Elliot

We haven't exactly gotten along over the years, but he knows I appreciate and value family stuff, so he knows that by passing it to me it will stay in the family.

please leave the politics out of this thread, title is fire arms, not who is the best president.

Let's see some pics! Especially if there is a story to go with it, I love hearing the history of a gun especially heirlooms
