Chevymec 510 Posted November 2, 2020 Back story... replaced the front diff and other steering components a while back along with a locker. I knew it might be tough to steer after reading every body's reviews on having one. It does, so be it. Today I was dumping some deer guts backing into a hole and locked it in 4wd and the steering freed up a lot just like it was in 2wd. Thing drives like it did before the locker in 2wd. Click it back into 2wd and steering is "all hands on deck" to turn it. Can the plugs on the front diff plug in wrong? I didn't have a chance to check it today. I bought the diff off a member on the old site and want to say it came off an 05 or 06 like mine. Everything looked the same also when I swapped it.
jeepwm69 7,751 Posted November 2, 2020 Weird. Try jacking up the rear and see which position it the switch needs to be in for the front wheels to pull.
