eirekp61 1 Posted November 2 Hi First post here so sorry to start with a question , I am trying to diagnose a trx500es ( i think its 2016 ) ( ecu on top of the tank ) fuel pump does not prime and no spark . i have scanned it for faults stored and it has *injector control failure* could anyone point me in the right direction or is there a service manual available to download for this year 500 thanks chris Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
jeepwm69 7,420 Posted November 3 Welcome aboard. link to service manuals Go to Honda, Utility quads, 420 Rancher, and then you'll see a list of models. An ES is going to be under "420FE" as the model designation. I'd probably look at the wiring going to the injectors for starters. i only had a quick look myself friday , its in our workshop and another mechanics were on it seperately for a good few hours . I checked for pump power and it has powered the pump and no turn , I left it at that until tomorrow but that is leading me to think there is two faults , i will fit a pump tomorrow and if all is good il fit a stator and pickup as I think there is two faults and the other mechanics confused the whole situtation as one fault casuing both issues . 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Honda Utility quads First pic below TRX420, about halfway down the list, right under TRX400 Rancher 2nd pic below, 2014 Honda Rancher 420. That will be the same as your 2016.
