Thanks guys! I'll stick to a lighter 26'. Maiinly for clearance and intend on putting a 2" lift fir more at some point.
Any max widths? Was thinking 9 and 11....

So what is a larger safe size to run on stock motor? Ok to go to 26s? What width would be safe? Going with 12" rims.

Should see if utvcanada will give a discount! They had conversation kits at one time.

I live for PITA. Hahaha
I thought it might be a bugger to work on the engine or anything related. Oddest looking machine....looks like the engine is missing!! Haha

Keep your eyes open for a donor/parts bike
Go get that! Blue is much rarer in the us. Those plastics could bring you $$$$!!

I'm going to have to get educated. @jeepwm69said the same thing about cats. There aren't alot of these things around this area so definitely going to take the time, find the money and fix her up. Like a little tank and so odd looking. Lol The little elan is on deck for restoration behind the 350, then the basketcase. Hahaha

Shes a basket case. They took all the brakes off along with muffler and air box so I'll be looking. Lol

These things are little tanks and so odd looking I couldn't help myself. Shes a 91 250 LT4WD Suzuki. And she is a mess. Runs though! 200 bucks and another project in the queue for next winter. Needs an airbox, brakes, muffler and plastics. Carb rebuild and tune up for sure. Been sitting for 2 years, fired right up.

No, i didn't but I have tonnes of wiring supplies. Just have to sort out which goes where. Lol

I had a guy want 100 and I got this one for 30 so I guess what someone will pay. The brake I got for 25. A used atv parts place wanted 50 a piece. Lucked into someone parting out.

I don't think you can, but is it possible to separate the springs from the assembly. Do they come apart. Want to touch them up with paint but be easier apart. Lol

Ya, they don't have the bracket like OEM and I also wondered that. But I've been running for years. Never slips a mm. Stays solid.

Just now, F250 guy said:So it doesn't have a cage and it would be Overkill for me? Any tricks on not skinning my fingers up removing the filter off of the cage and reinstalling it on the cage?
I'm going by memory and slammedranger sounds like he has a much better memory. Lol But I believe mine have a frame, not so much cage and the center metal insert from the OEM goes back inside.
I have small hands and don't have a busted knuckle problem. Lol

I run them on my 200 and 250 and intend on running on my 350. They do have a metal "cage" inside. I've never had a problem. They clean out nice.

That makes great sense! Thanks!!

Thanks @retro, @TRX Student and @toodeep.
That video was great. Think that will be my plan of attack. If it isn't much worse than I think that should be sufficient. If it is worse I'll go with a plate too. I'm fabing an aluminum skid plate so if I do have to steel plate, I'll make sure they meet nicely. I have a pipe bender at home so that will definitely help.
I was going to drill a few holes and use threaded inserts to affix the aluminium skid but is that opening myself up to weakening the frame more? Is there a better option for attaching a skid? I want to be able to remove for cleaning from time to time.

It looks horrible but is actually really solid besides that front spot. I took the welding hammer to it and couldn't break through anywhere. Ya, frames are, they all rot out.
