Well... I was thinking Richard Petty tried drag racing once NASCAR banned the hemi i think it was. One of his passes he crashed & a kid got killed. So i doubt he wants to be remembered from it 😞

Working on an old twin cyl lawn tractor a buddy of mine gave me. Choke cable was seized so when i removed it, the clip attached to the butterfly valve broke off the shaft :O 

So i JB Welded a small piece on it after putting a hole in it to put a wire/cable through. Good times working on old junk!

Wow cha ching. I usually go to the local transmission shop & match them up, lot cheaper. Tho some bearings you have to order them like the wider ones.

Always liked these cars, had a bunch of toys, models when i was a kid. This one being 4spd is rare around here.

Well..had to replace the wire feed liner on the old 110V welder i have, clunker. I already put a shorter one from a weed wacker cable lol.. so i bought some bicycle brake cable & put that in. Works fine. Also pulled the plastics off my buds BF750 ..for nothing, he had some kind of oil leak, only thing we could find was from the air breather box. Kawi crap 😫

Thats a lot to read over 😮 Forgive me if i missed something. But you say the starter was replaced & THEN it started doing this? 

I ran one I got for my g/f in the 90s, not a bad little runner, but not much on top speed. 

Interesting idea on the gear shifter. 🤔

Sounds like either a connection is bad somewhere, or a fuse blown. You need to trace the wiring from the switch, or start at the solenoid if you like. Obvious Q - is the batt is hooked up correct right? There are manuals with wiring diagrams on here.

Ah, does March count? 😄 I got this 07 Kawi Nomad 1600 in March, g/f is happy i did. Oh & yesterday i picked up a regulator for that old Pol 600twin.

Theres a 68 & 69 in the 1st pic. My fav car...the 69. The blue 69 is a 383 4spd.

Went to the Atlantic Nationals yesterday. Only took a few pics, big show otherwise.

Could be the tires arent matched up right, air pressure etc, & the sensors arent seeing the same speed with front & back axles.
