  1. We cut cable 2 years ago. Just wasn't worth the money for us - but I guess it depends on what you like to watch.  We enjoy 100Mbs to the house (rural town). It's a hyper reliable service as I work from home for a large high tech global company from the middle of nowhere....

We now stream everything  - Netflix / Amazon Prime / AppleTV.... and I'm on webex calls presenting to hundreds of people.

If you're out of reach from regular internet service providers, Elon Musk launched Starlink a pretty good satellite internet service for remote communities at US$99 month (150mbs down). I think installation is US$499. Currently the service has some downtime - but it should reach 24hrs service with each new batch of satellites launched.

I made a RC airplane carrier today.  Foam padding with velcro straps.  There are two places I like to fly my hand-launch electrics both accessed only by ATV.  The transmitter and battery case is strapped to the back.

The plane has been with me for about 12 years now.  It was a Herr Manufacturing rubber powered 30" wingspan free-flight kit.  These types of kits convert easily to brushless outrunner CD rom drive type motors and with 4 channel radio and a 500mah lipo battery weights around 7oz.  It flies nice and slow if throttled back but will climb straight up and accelerate at less than full throttle.   The motor is larger than required but I needed nose weight to balance and in the words of my father,  "If you need to add weight in the nose it may as well be in cubic inches.  You can always throttle back."  Dad worked on Corsairs in the Korean war.

Oooh - a Corsair!. My dad worked on Hawker Hurricanes (Dutch West Indies (Java / Sumatra) )and Mosquito fighter bombers. Then English Electric Lightenings, Vulcans, Tornados and Harriers.

  4. I did a search on here to see if anyone else had posted on this subject but found nothing.

Has anyone replaced their stock bulbs with LED equivalents? All my stock bulbs work - but I've wondered if there would be any benefit in using LEDs.  I certainly noticed the difference on my Subaru.

    • Front 12v 30/30w x2 (34901-GT4-003) (These need to have Low/Hi beams)
    • Assist 12v 45w (34901-HN2-000)
    • Tail 12v 5w x2 (34351-657-921)

I have a 04 TRX450FM A Foreman S that now looks like this after about 1 month's TLC and restoration..... but it's worth it. They are solid machines. I'm no expert but feel free to ask questions. Screen Shot 2021-05-22 at 6.46.24 PM.png

Wow sparky I would not want to take that out of the garage to ride!!  I feel the same when I wash and wax one of my cars, why get it all dirty again.  Very nice looking machine good job.....

Bought for utilitarian purposes - so it's going to get dirty and worked hard - which is what these machines were designed to do. Snow blade attachment is in the side room out of view. Just had a new bottom plate and receiver for the blade manufactured by a local welding company out of 1/4" steel plate.

How did you refinish? Are those new marks, too?

Removed the old tattered damaged marks. Sanded down with 230, 400, 800, 1000,1500, 2000 wet n dry paper. Then polished. Added new marks. Finished with a fine spray of SC1.

his display for what he thought gear position switch was missing ?, come find out, that model does not have this feature on them, only the es models have it.

Indeed - we were chatting about electronics. LCD meter and gear position switch / indicator.  Transpires (despite Honda dealer) that the FM model does not show the gear indicator in the meter thanks to @AKATV

nice !!, but your front center caps for the rims is missing on right side, not sure if left front side is same way ?, no pics of left side :-).

ReInstalled on rear wheels but had not put them back on front wheels at the point 🙂. Good powers of observation! Also replaced the seat since these photos were taken.

Or it could be because it’s a Foreman 450S / FM and they don’t show gear position on their meters-LOL

Never have,  as far as I know..

The ES models are the only one that show gear position on the meters at least as far as the Foreman 450 and Rancher 350 are concerned

Ahhh ! You know that had crossed my mind at the early stages of this saga - but the service manual didn't explicitly state that.  In fact it shows the FM electrical schematic with in the ESP chapter (21) so I doubted my initial thoughts.  I called the Honda dealer and they immediately stated its either the angle sensor or replace the meter assembly.  But I think I trust you guys here more..

OK no problem I just wanted to make sure that I was tracking everything properly

    Thanks for the update

Hello @AKATV - I have a 2004 Honda TRX 450FM A Foreman S. Gear selection is not showing on the meter - not even the designated area with a "reverse L". I believe you can flash the EEPROM - is that correct ?
