  1. Ok, question. I have a 2003 Honda Foreman TRX 450 FM. I currently have the engine out of the bike and the top end off. Everything looks good but I was wondering what can I use to flush it out before I put the new top end on and put it back on the bike. I want to do it now but don’t know what to use. I was told that I could use diesel but I have my doubts. Does anyone else have any good suggestions?
  2. Well, it’s coming along. I got me a roller. I’m happy with the progress so far. I should have had the wiring harness on but those ultras snuck up on me and had me take it in early!
  3. I used sealed too but I used that red tacky grease.
  4. Oh wow! I never saw your comment. I’ve very sorry about that. I do have mounting brackets but. It sure if they are the correct ones. They were mounted on my quad when I bought it.
  5. Ok Folks!!!! I just put new bearings and seals on the front knuckles. These little guys came with the bearing and seal kits and for the life of me I can not figure out where they go. I’ve looked at the diagram In my manual over and over and I don’t see them anywhere. I don’t even remember seeing anything like them when I took everything apart. Is this something for a different year model that this kit could work with or do these actually go on my bike? Anyone out there know!?!
  6. I have the hardware that was used to mount on my ride. Not too sure if it’s the factory mounts
  7. Ok!!! Geez, just my luck. After I cleaned these up a bit and was getting ready to put them away, I noticed on one of these there was a broken bolt in one of the holes. I tried to get that sucker out but I tried a little too hard and cracked it. Does anyone have a extra driver side one of these? I don’t want to pay $90+ for a new if I don’t have to. Can anyone out there help me out!?!
  8. I saw that in the manual but didn’t think anything of it. The rest of the bike is a 2003. But if it works with what I have then it will be ok.
  9. This is my first four wheeler build. I stripped it down and sanded, primed and painted every part that I could. It had some surface rust but nothing major. It took a while to do but I got it done. Now time to start rebuilding with new bearings and seals along the way. A new top end and cleaning up front and rear diffs. I will be rebuilding the rear diff but not the front. They were both pretty solid, it’s just the rear had a torn boot so I decided to tear it apart. It had some sand and water but wasnt rusted at all. I hope I get it right! I printed out the book so it should go ok. Wish me luck folks!!!
  10. Selling these bad boys! Needs some work. Not sure what they are worth. So make me a offer plus shipping. Don’t try to low ball me!!!! I know what I have!! J/k! I have no clue what they are worth. They will be sent from Huntsville, Tx. Came off of my 2003 Honda foreman trx 450 fm.
  11. Has anyone ever heard of wilwood for a four wheeler!?!
  12. It’s just tile. The one that looks and feels like wood. Not real sure what it’s called.
  13. I just finished this today! Now back to my four wheeler project!!!
  14. Sounds good, I’ll check it out!
  15. I sure will. Thank you for the information. Yeah, I’m not much of a mechanic. For the past 8-9 years I’ve picked up the hobby of wood working for the wife and all her Pinterest dreams. This is my first complete rebuild of a four wheeler. I rebuilt a go kart, but there wasn’t much to that. No engine work because that worked great.
  16. No, nothing broken on the inside. Not that I can tell. When it was all together I could switch all gears and then when I would turn the piston arm, I moved smoothly with no obstruction or noises. So what I’ve been told is the bottom end is in good working order and just to finish it off with a new top end. I also check the piston arm thing and it did not have any abnormal play.
  17. Well, i don’t have the tool to remove the swing arm but I did take off the rear diff. It was freaking dirty. The oil had sludge in it as if there was dirty or sand in it. I’m cleaning it up and will be putting in new seals and bearings.
  18. I will, once I get that far. I have to replace all the bearings and then figure out what else I will need once those are done. What would you say this will be worth once I finish it?
  19. I took the rear diff off today. The steering is nice and smooth, so if it feels like that now, I didn’t want to mess with it. The rear diff on the other hand need a total rebuild. That is my plan. It had a bunch of oil, water and sand in there. It smelled terrible! Like sewer water. But I got it cleaned up. Just need all the bearing and o-rings to put it back together.
  20. When I get to that point, that is my plan.
  21. It’s coming along!!!
