  1. Looks like yall live pretty far away. The closest memeber I could find is about 4hrs away lol.
  2. Also, I live in Washington state, so I have no idea how far away you all are from me.
  3. I think we just clipped it over the plug wire, or coil, whichever you want to call it. The spark was verry erratic, and went out for very longer periods of time, which of course co-insided with the missing. And @Goober I'll definitely check the flywheel and woodruff key out when I'm in there. I really hope the pulse generator fixes it; I don't know what to try next if it doesn't lol.
  4. Haha, 30's isn't that old. How old is Shadetree? And where is the atv meetup?
  5. Where is the next atv meetup? Sounds like fun. Me and my old honda would love to come! Jeepwm69 said you were old, so how old are you?
  6. Idk, But I'll install the pulse generator when I get it and see if it fixes it. If not, I'll investigate cdi.
  7. So, in theory, it shouldn't be the cdi, because everyone I tried is for an 88-93. I've tried a 90, 91, and 93
  8. That's probably the same one my brother bought for his 1990 300.
  9. Man, I don't think so, because the machine makes the exact same symptoms no matter what box I have in it.
  10. I didn't mean to offend you all, I thought it was some guy just trying to waste my time. Anyway, the cdi in it is the original from 1993. I swapped it to the original from my dads' 1991, and I also put a Ricks one in it too. My brother bought it for his 1990, but oddly enough it wouldn't run. It however made mine run. I am 17 at the moment and will be 18 in late June. Also @WonderMonkey, I overreacted, and I shouldn't've responded the way I did, and all my friends say I have a good sense of humor, So feel free to joke around. Didn't mean hurt anyone's feelings.
  11. Sorry bro, drinking doesn't get rid of my problems, it only worsens them. Plus, I am not 21 yet. Also, what kind of response is that? If you don't have anything good to contribute, then don't contribute at all.
  12. I think this might be the case, and I really hope the new one fixes it. If it doesn't, what would you recommend I try next?
  13. So, I am having some trouble with my 300 losing spark at higher speeds. I thought it was carburation, to test this I swapped carbs on our other 1993 Honda, (mine's a 1993) and the other one runs perfect no matter which carb I put on it. I hooked a test light to the coil, and it sure enough was losing spark on the top end. It idles perfect tho. It should also be noted that it's the worst in the mid throttle range, and not the top end. So, we changed the spark plug, put 3 different coils in it, and 3 different cdi boxes in it, and still nothing. We tested the pulse generator, and it was 359.8 ohms, and the spec in the book is 360. I haven't swapped it to a different one, but I bought a new one, and it's on the way. I however don't think it'll fix it. but you have to start eliminating variables somewhere. I took apart all the plugs I could find, and put die electric grease in the connections, and still nothing. All the plugs fit good and tight, and snap in. I'm running out of things to try, so any suggestions are welcome. Thanks to any response.
  14. Well, I had a 125 size, and it was clearly running out of fuel, so I don't think a 120, or 125 will fix my problem. I think I have a 140 size in it now, and it's almost there, but not quite. I had surgery yesterday and haven't gotten the chance to mess with it.
  15. Which would be? A 125 size jet?
  16. Ok. I was doing some thinking, and since I've done a full rebuild, a lot of stuff has changed, more compression, valves fit tighter, ect. So it is burning less oil and more gas, so I think a smaller that stock (it wasn't running right before) would hinder my performance. What do you think?
  17. Btw, would a slow jet interfere with it running being wide open?
  18. I don't know what the choke valve is, so is it expensive, and hard to replace? And my diaphragm has no holes. Is it possible I need a 120-jet size? I was only able to find a jet kit with sizes 125-150, so where would I obtain one?
  19. mine is a 1993, and the cam is stock. It had a 125 size in it when I started missing with it.
  20. Still having trouble with jetting tho. I can't seem to get it to rev up all the way, and when I hold the throttle at a position that isn't wide open, it spudders a bit, and won't stay at one single rpm. Any ideas?
  21. I think I got the problem fixed. The brass tube in the bowl leaked at the base, causing gasoline to flow down it, I have an extra bowl that didn't produce air bubbles when I blew up the drain with the brass tube plugged. I'll see if it fixes it.
  22. So, I recently did a carb rebuild an my 300. I did it because the thing didn't rev up all the way, and the vent leaked. So, I rebuilt the carb, and it fixed nothing. I bought some bigger jets, and I'm still playing around with it. But as for the vent line, I can't get it to stop leaking. Any ideas?
  23. Still interested in the 424 if you still have it.
  24. @_Wilson_™ Did you ever PM me?
