Kevron 68 Posted July 8, 2021 Hey guys, I’ve been looking where to buy some tin straws. Not sure of the name but that’s what we always called them. They are long, skinny, pointed on one end with a rounded lead head on the other. We used them to wire tin to pipe frames by punching holes in the tin and taking two straws and twisting them around the pipe. I used to see them at the hardware store but they don’t know what I’m talking about. Any ideas?

shadetree 5,973 Posted July 11, 2021 never heard of them ?. around these parts, we either use self tapping sheet metal screws, or bailing wire.
LedFTed 1,142 Posted July 14, 2021 had something similar, pouring basements. it was to tie two sheets of plywood together, with a spacers in be-tween. always seen the wire stick out a bit in the basement, where ya cut it off..
