BigPickel1 0 Posted August 3, 2021 I have a display from trx350FE that someone has attempted a repair on. The owner told me it just needed the film replaced on the screen. Can someone help with finding a replacement. Thanks

jeepwm69 7,751 Posted August 4, 2021 Out of curiosity, any idea how many of these you've done now @AKATV? You've sure brought a bunch of them back to life!
AKATV 851 Posted August 4, 2021 I think all total thru the years probably about 75-80 or so, plus or minus I am glad to see a lot of folks keeping the older models up and running, so I am glad to help where I can as Honda is discontinuing some of the older meters I am partial to the older Honda's myself and dont care too much about the fancy newer ones The older models (to me) just seem to be built better
jeepwm69 7,751 Posted August 4, 2021 I agree 100%. If/ when these 500 meters start going, I'll try to find some sort of clear overlay with print on it similar to what you get on screens on new packaged electronics that make them appear to be on. Looks like something like that could be made, then put on over a repaired screen on the newer machines with the print on the screens. I'd think you get a lot of satisfaction knowing you're keeping these old machines going on the trails.
AKATV 851 Posted August 4, 2021 I was kind of thinking the same thing as well you could just replace the polarization film then put an additional clear sticky layer with the printing on top of it I think I might start messing with some prototype stuff this winter possibly
